Customers say: True professional

"We had a break in our sewer main pretty close to the winter holidays - Steven called right away after putting in for a quote on Home Advisor. He came out the following day and gave a quote way less then a competitor. Several other companies were not available right away. He scoped it the next day, determined it was a break, and offered to come back the day after to excavate and repair. It was done in one day! Steven was professional and helpful - I highly recommend."

"Drain Pro plumbing installed a new Toto flush mount toilet for us which requires a bit more work and effort than standard toilet installations. The technician was extremely knowledgeable, professional, and friendly. They have done other projects for us in the past such as convert a single vanity in the master to a dual vanity and redo plumbing in the kitchen to accommodate our IKEA drawer. I would hire them again for any future projects."

"I needed only scope and locate my 4" sewer pipe from an exterior cleanout to the house. Rescue Rooter gave me a discount for the work. John the plumber came out. He has 26 years of experience and was very knowledgeable and skilled at using the camera. I've been doing remodeling for 30 years including plumbing installation (drain pipes, copper water pipe repair and installation). In addition to using the electronic locator, he also went old school in using witching sticks to confirm the location of the pipes."

"My extended family always use Bob Larson Plumbing for all non-DYI plumbing projects. The prices are fair and they don't talk you into things you don't need. The staff is friendly and professional. Our recent water heater installation was a little difficult due to the age of the original heater and plumbing. The technicians worked diligently to figure out the problems which, ultimately, required an electrician and came back as soon the electrician had replaced a breaker. Don't hesitate to call Bob Larson Plumbing!"

"Jerry was very enjoyable and professional in replacing a bent lead toilet connection which had leaked at the toilet. He replaced the old lead connection to the cast iron sewer pipe with modern ABS pipe and installed a flange to attach the new toilet to when the floor is completed."

"Seatown did a great job! Their estimate to replace our water line was competitive, and more complete than other estimates. Had to schedule out two weeks for the estimate, but once I got the estimate they were available to complete the entire job within the same week. Overall, I will definitely reach out to Seatown again when I need plumbing work done."

FAQs for sewer main install, replace or repair projects in Puyallup, WA

When installing a sewer line, you should consider extra costs like tree removal, driveway repairs, or patio resurfacing. Hiring a professional plumber is essential, and you may need additional specialists if landscaping or heavy excavation is involved. Addressing these potential extras up front helps ensure accurate budgeting and prevents sudden cost overruns.

To calculate the length of sewer piping you need, measure the distance from your house to the main sewer line, adding the depth of the city main to this distance. Be sure to account for any obstacles like tree roots or utility lines that may require additional piping.

City sewer lines are installed at a lower elevation to prevent unwanted backflow and water damage. This lower positioning ensures enhanced performance and long-term safety, meeting all technical and safety standards.

With trenchless methods, a plumber inserts a smaller pipe within the existing plumbing, avoiding full excavation. It can be more cost-effective and less disruptive than traditional methods, but it's not suitable for all homes.

Yes, you must secure permission from your local water authority before connecting to a public sewer line. This approval ensures your connection meets all regulatory requirements.

Sewer lines are buried between 18 inches and 8 feet deep, with most systems placed between 18 and 30 inches. In colder regions, pipes are set deeper to remain below the frost line.
