"It went great. Jason Goode responded within 10 min of my initial request for a bid. He came out and appraised the job and emailed me a proposal within a few days. I accepted, and the job was scheduled. The painters arrived early on the scheduled day and went to work. They cleaned up when they were finished. They did a very good job and I would call on them again in the future."

I gave him the sample from Home Depot and he offered an estimate that was almost 200% below the average estimate for the same job while still offering to use the exact product we wanted. "George was very professional when we first dealt with him and did a satisfactory job.  However, when we wanted him to do smaller jobs, he did not respond or set up dates to come and then did not show up nor did he call.  His father, who is the actual owner of George's Painting, came to our house for an estimate to have 3 closet shelves installed (the metal mesh type) for hwich he wanted $650.00.  We thought that was entirely too much as the material cost less than $100.  We looked for someone else off of Angie's list and got an excellent person who only charged $200 which was more reasonable and on top of that did an excellent job.    In addition we are having numerous other things done at reasonable prices.  Had I waited a bit longer, I could have gotten my house painted much cheaper as well.  George is overpriced and does not respond when you call or will he make an appointment with you and then not keep it.  I am glad I found someone else who is capable of doing what we want, is professional, does excellent work and his price is more reasonable.    I have already had work done by this other company and we are very satisfied.

"Overview of Issue/Repair:
3 Level Townhome (finished basement):
Sliding door off kitchen on second floor was incorrectly flashed.  Due to this, the door needed to be removed, repaired/re-flashed, and reinstalled.  A section of "sinking" kitchen subfloor around this sliding door was also replaced    *Note: at this point we could have purchased a replacement door and had this installed at no additional cost; due to our budget, we decided to re-use the current slider* .  Additionally, a majority of the plywood and window framing below, in the basement, was rotted out. Siding was removed and replaced after all the rot was repaired with fresh plywood and framing.  We did take this opportunity to replace the 2 windows while they were out.
Overview of Experience:
It was apparent from the start that Timothy is clearly focused on understanding and providing what the customer wants/needs and not just obtaining a signed contract.  Timothy met with me in person and on the phone a handful of times prior to finalizing our contract.  Throughout the entire process I felt comfortable reaching out to him for advice and clarification, and never felt as if my questions were "elementary" or annoying.  
Timothy was on site each morning to see progress and ensure that everything was meeting our standard.  It is great to have this interaction with the owner.  Additionally, all of his team is punctual, knowledgeable, and friendly.  They take time to show and educate you as they are performing work.  Our family could not be happier with our decision to go with Timothy's Home Improvement; we look forward to future projects!

"The Garage Tek system is very flexible and comprehensive.  Their customer needs analysis works well and quickly on-the-spot in home using CAD/CAM software.  The installation was quick and well done.  The only down side is the price, which is very high.  In my estimation it was worth if for me to solve my problem, but I advise you to consider carefully before buying.

The window replacements were done 3-4 years ago.  The windows are good quality.  The measurement of one window was not done properly and the installer did a fix by adding spray foam.  The deck was done 2 years ago.  The deck installers were fired as they made so many mistakes.  The deck install was suppose to be done in a week, it took 3 weeks.

I had a service tech com out to check a deck problem in May.  He is no longer working there and was laid off with almost all of the staff in Gaithersburg.  I called over a week ago for a service follow-up call.  The receptionist in Baltimore answered the phone, as there is no one in Gaithersburg and the phones are forwarded.  I am still waiting more than a week for a follow-up service phone call to be returned by the person who schedules service calls.   I have no idea how long it will take before someone can come to my home.  I am concerned that if I had a major problem, I would be waiting months to get a window repaired.
