I was impressed by the extra detail and quality in the estimate, such as putting pressure-treated timbers under the composite pad on the outside, as well as adding a surge protector and noticing that I needed to change my outside flue to comply with newer building codes. Sales did not do a good job communicating the added purchase of retrofitting my existing outdoor unit with timbers and leveling the unit. The installation crew had no knowledge of this or the addition of antivibration pads, which are in agreement. However, they made it right and completed the work successfully. The installers, Colin and Mason, are the shining stars! They worked diligently, without complaint, in the cold rain and muddy landscape, adding the additional work that they were not expecting. They were thorough and completed the job to our satisfaction."

"The service was superior from the initial contact where I requested a quote to the installation. I spoke with Samantha to arrange for someone to come out to provide me with a quote and she promptly scheduled an appointment around my schedule. Mike came out and provided me with several options for a heat pump and promptly sent me an email with the heat pump options and prices. "My upstairs air conditioner had not been working well and increasingly had trouble cooling the area, with sky high electric bills ensuing, until it just blew out (warm) air.  It reached 84 degrees in my upstairs office and even hotter in our TV room.  I called our warranty company and they referred me to American Air.  I was hesitant to use this company because I'd heard horror stories about companies that warranty companies refer you to.  The warranty had been inherited from the prior homeowner which I had just recently, but not whole-heartedly, renewed.  However as an Angie's list member I decided to look up the reviews and was very pleasantly surprised with all the tremendous reviews and from mostly warranty customers.  So I hired them and they did not disappoint.  
Chris Jones arrived less than 24 hours after the call was made and within the time window estimated.  He was professional, honest, knew what he was doing and taught me a few things.  My air filters had not been changed in 6 months (embarrassing!) and some of them were really dirty.  He said that filters should be replaced between 1 and 3 months when they begin to show any little bit amount of darkening and that when filters are dirty it makes your system work harder.  So that was a good lesson.  Also the system is 14 years old and is probably working on borrowed time since he explained systems last between 10 - 12 years so replacement could be in the future.  The system was also low on refrigerant which was added, he tightened some valves and cycled the system.   He said to see how things go within the next month or so since there could be other issues going on such as a leak in the system.  So maybe this was a stop-gap measure....not really sure.
Chris said it would take about 24 hours to cool things down.  Much to my delight this morning the air temp has already reached the setting.  What relief!  
We also spoke of a service agreement and I plan to sign up and request Chis in the future.

Every time we have a technician for tune up he tell us it would be a good idea to get a new furnace. The good part about LLC Heating & Air Condition was that they examine the furnace and thought it was in good shape and did not mention replacement . The visit was short and pleasant."

""Bundling" a review for 3 jobs from January 2016 through March 2017. After a neighbor recommended another plumber to address a few minor problems, we found McCoy and are glad we did. While our "recommended" plumber indicated our low pressure was due to issues with our water supply line (since our PRV was open all the way), McCoy correctly diagnosed the problem as just the opposite - the valve was fully CLOSED. Our McCoy tech adjusted our pressure to increase flow while minimizing pipe noise in conjunction with a swap of three builder Delta showerheads for new Speakman heads. Late last year, Josh installed a new condensate drain through a wall in a bonus room to our vent stack to accommodate permanent installation of a dehumidifier. Scott (the owner) provided the quote and was involved in the design, and the solution is working perfectly 6 months later. Keep in mind that you are paying for high-quality, well-trained plumbers, so a service call to clear slow drains may not be the best use of their time or your $! In retrospect, $155 to clear two slow drains was a job better suited to my own or a handyman's abilities and pay scale!"

Computer h*** exists! My wife's work computer (an old Gateway) developed problems (required start up 3-4 times prior to

image on monitor). I had retained (at that time) a 1 1/2 yr. old Dell 745 and a  1 1/2 yr. old Dell 840 Power Edge Server from my business upon retirement. I took the Gateway to my previous Tech who transferred data to t;he Dell 745.  Within 30 days the 745 began refusing to start up. I chkd. Angie's List  (my previous Tech was unavailable due to her employer's business volume) and read No. Ala. Technical Svs. reviews; called Jim Ferrell who returned my call from out of town. Jim undertook the "exam' and clean-up remotely. When the problem was not resolved remotely, we agreed to meet in a highly public spot for Jim to take the Dell 745 in for service. (I might add that on three occasions of personal meetings with Jim, he was prompt to the minute).
    After exam (a couple of days) Jim  texted that it would appear the mother board was failing. I told him that I had the Dell 840 Power Edge Server and asked if data could be transferred to it. Jim did transfer the data, installed all the back up files (e-mail, photos, billing files, correspondence, etc. that he had backed up for us (just in case). Delivered both units back to me.  We encountered a problem with our e-mail provider and setting up Outlook that evening. I called Jim who then spent another couple of hours to resolve that problem. 
    In the midst of all this, my wife got discouraged because of the "continuing" computer problems, went out to a big box store and bought a Toshiba laptop.The cursor would not work and she had to use a mouse to use the laptop. After 3 weeks she returned the laptop to the big box (which was most courteous in their concierge procedure).
    We have been using our converted Server as a desk top station for the last month without incurring any problems. I would recommend No.  Ala. Technical Services and Jim Ferrell to anyone for computer repair. I found Jim to be diligent, knowledeable, cost conscious, concerned, and reliable. Larry P. Young
