"The Evolution of Contractors were quick to respond to my request for a quote to replace the railings, treads, and porch area of my dad's front landing, which at that point had rotted out railings and failing treads. They did not try to upsell me and gave a clear quote for both wood and composite materials. There was zero pressure.Communication was always clear, friendly, and timely. We went with the composite option. The work was completed in one full day. They were polite, efficient, and cleaned up everything after themselves. "Coen was responsive during storms and as thorough as any of the other vendors we've tried. The team was responsive to feedback and kept us safe through the worst winter. We needed to do some detail work ourselves to make sure vents were clear but Coen took care of the heavy lifting. It took awhile to lock in a final contract - Scott was very responsive in sending an initial draft but took some following up to get the clarifications we were looking for. "Jim was a pleasure to work with from start to finish. He was a consummate pro, listened well and asked questions, and it was obvious that he and his coworker Steve take a lot of pride in their work. We had him demolish and completely rebuild a 22' x 6' front porch for our 105 year old house. It's not always easy to fit something new onto something old, from the overall spacing to connecting with the existing brick staircase and porch roof, given the code requirements of 2019. Jim had no problems, and in cases where we had to unexpectedly do things - like whoops cover that previously existing, but now with the new Azek, some very old-looking flashing, etc. he had some great ideas - new strips, some mouldling. The fit and finish on the porch were great, no visible deck-board ends, using multiple end pieces to avoid extra cuts of the long azek deck boards, etc....And all were discussed and decided upon together in a low pressure and professional style. Jim's also not afraid to admit when something isn't his strength or not something he's good at. That's a rare and valuable skill and extremely useful to any potential client. Bill immediately came by, took measurements and pictures. From there, we discussed ideas for the new outdoor space. He then provided me with a design and quote.
