Customers say: Quality work

"I don t write reviews typically- but felt the need to recommend Columbus Gas Pros! Responsive, attentive, and thorough is how I d describe working with them. My job started as a simple pipe out for a new meter, and turned into an expansive search for pressure drop in my existing piping. Apparently I had a small gas leak for years - they saved me! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!"

"These guys were AWESOME! I waited for ever for another contractor to show up and run a gas line from the basement to my kitchen so I could install a gas stove. I finally gave up on the first contractor and called Amanda. Such a good idea! They showed up when scheduled to give me a quote. The price was 1/2 of what the other contractor had quoted. They showed up, did the work, cleaned up their mess and even installed my stove. I highly recommend this company."

"This is our second experience with this company over the past 6 years, both of which have been good. We discovered a sewer backup in our basement and called Mr. Rooter on a Sunday afternoon. Adam C. was at our house a couple of hours later, and we decided to clean the main line with a high-pressure water jet. However, Adam was able to determine with his camera that the problem was not as bad as originally thought, so the water jet was not necessary after all. Adam quickly cleared the line and was able to give us an overview of the pipe structure beneath our nearly 100 year-old house. He was very professional and was ultimately able to repair our problem for about $200 less than what we originally thought it would cost. Hopefully, we will not have to call a plumber for that kind of problem again for a very long time, but if we do, we will definitely be calling Mr. Rooter."

"This company was very responsive and professional. I called needing an emergency installation of an electrical line and box for a gas cooktop so that the cooktop could be connected. This was on a Tuesday evening and the line and box were installed the next morning. Matt Wehrie called to confirm the time of arrival that morning which was met. The charges for this service were quite reasonable. The installers were pleasant and professional. I would use this company any time that I have need of an electrician. <br />"

"We have two water tanks because my daughter and son-in-law live with me. They have one of those tubs, so that's why they put in originally two water tanks. <br /> <br /> They found that it was ok. What happened was that the gas one was full, so when my son-in-law went down there and tried to turn it on, it was full, not because it wasn't lit. They're very nice. They didn't charge me the max that they charge for a call. They've been out for me for a couple of other things. I ended up having a link in my roofing and they said what they recommended. And sure enough I had another guy come out to do the roofing, just the part of it, and that stopped the leakage. They are very responsive to me. I've had them not charge me when something wasn't wrong, they've charged me less. The pricing and diagnosis have been right on."

FAQs for gas piping projects in Sunbury, OH

Plumbers with proper licensing and credentials install and relocate gas lines. When hiring a professional, verify they have experience with gas systems and all required certifications. Some homeowners choose to work with plumbers specializing in natural gas installations, as they have extensive experience with similar projects and understand the safety requirements.

The timeline for gas line relocation varies based on project complexity, permit processing, and inspection scheduling. The physical labor takes a few hours to one day, depending on the line length. However, the actual installation work represents only part of the overall project timeline. Your contractor should provide a specific timeframe based on your circumstances and local permitting requirements.

Your gas supply must be shut off during the relocation process. This safety measure prevents gas leaks while connections are being modified. Plan for this temporary service interruption by making alternative arrangements for cooking, heating, or other gas-dependent systems in your home. The shut-off generally only lasts for a portion of the work, often a few hours.

Relocating gas lines to connect new appliances is a common reason for this type of project. Whether you're installing a gas stove, fireplace, dryer, or outdoor grill, a professional can determine the best route for extending your existing gas system. The cost will depend on the distance between your current gas line and the new appliance location.

Gas line work is not suitable for DIY projects. Natural gas is highly flammable and potentially lethal if not handled correctly. Gas leaks can be difficult to detect without specialized equipment. Professional plumbers have the proper training, tools, and experience to safely relocate gas lines while ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety standards.
