"I bought a really nice regency gas fireplace from South Shore Fireplace and couldn't have been happier with the way they treated me and completed the installation. They were the most attentive and considerate companies I approached which is why I went with them. We couldn't get the time of day from other fireplace stores. These guys were right on the ball from the start. Spent a lot of time going over the different stoves and options that go with them all. The installation was scheduled and went very well. Installers were very thorough and clean. This was a complete installation, needed the chimney as well as the stove. Everything was done perfectly and I couldn't be happier. Recently, the stove I picked had a recall and I was informed and updated by Scott as soon as he had news. This actually went on for a couple of months but Scott would contact me every couple of weeks and let me know what was going on. When the replacement part came in, they scheduled the work IMMEDIATELY and I met Jon, one of the senior techs and installers. Jon was on time, meticulous and thorough. Very clean and organized as you would expect a master craftsman to be. The repair went very well and made my stove run better than ever before. When your happy with a job someone does for you, you hardly ever write a review but something turns sour, people can't write one quick enough. When I need something done, I go online and read all the awful reviews of probably great companies so I do not hire them. This review is for all of you that are like me and come here to get the low down on a business. Do not hesitate to go with South Shore Fireplace. It is very hard to find craftsman who really care about what they do and also so nice to deal with. South Shore Fireplace will be my go to guys for the rest of my life. "Excellent service, very fast response to my request for service, picked up laptop, diagnosed issues. Initially thought it was an OS update issue but the hard drive had failed along with other components (including 'CPU). Because other components were involved, a new solid state hard drive was put into a laptop with a working processor - same type CPU as in the failed unit. The laptop was repaired and returned in less than a week. This company picked up and dropped off the laptop (driving from Huntsville, AL (about 60-70 minutes)-- great service in this covid environment. I would recommend this company to my family./friends and will use again."

"Excellent job by Eddie. He wasn't sure at first that he would be able to clear one of the drains, due to the age/type of pipes in the house, but his efforts were successful. I would have no hesitation in using this company for such services in the future, or in recommending it to others. In fact, my regular plumber had previously been unsuccessful in clearing the bathtub drain, so all the more credit to Eddie. Note that this work was performed as part of a special offer that I received in an e-mail from Angie's List. "I had taken the day off from work to accommodate the chimney sweep’s schedule. Which I was happy to do. However, I received a call at the time of the appointment indicating that the chimney sweep’s truck was broken down and there was no other service person in the area to service us. I’m a reasonable person and understand mechanical issues can happen. However, it was disappointing that I was given earlier notice. We rescheduled and the second service call was on time with a courtesy call ahead of time. There were three people who came to the house. One who appeared to be the team leader, was very courteous and seemed to be doing all the work. The other two were busy on their phones in the truck and only appeared to help after the lead service person corralled them to do their jobs. Both arrived at the door begrudgingly and looked very annoyed that they had to do anything at all. Again, the lead person did most of the work, did all the talking, cleaned up after himself, showed me the work he had performed and completed all the paperwork. So all in all they did the service requested. It’s just too bad the two helpers weren’t nearly as dedicated or congenial as the lead person. I share these details as a business owner myself and knowing the challenges of staffing and (right or wrong) how they are perceived by customers."
