"Our Air Conditioning went out and I got three bids on the repair. The first was over 15,000, the second almost 12,000 and then HomeAdvisor called and asked if I wanted a third bid. I am glad I said yes. Alliance Mechanical came out and actually took the time to troubleshoot the problem and determined that the only problem was three blown capacitors, probably due to a lightning strike. The total repair costs about 600 dollars and that included a supply of filters and an adapter that I ordered and had installed. I do not know whether the other companies were trying to sell me an entirely new system when they knew I did not need one, or whether they were just incompetent. What I do know is that Alliance Mechanical Services is honest, competent and reasonably priced. They will be getting all my HVAC business in the future."

"Could not be any happier with every aspect of the job.  Right on time.  Kept us informed of the progress.  Started and finished on time.  Explained all options to my complete satisfaction but did not push one option over any other.  Price was very competitive.  Put down runners in every area that workmen travelled and made certain our home was not damaged in any way.  Would highly recommend them and will use them on my house or rentals should the need arise again.

"When my desk top computer failed I called Mr Ferrell. His response time was excellent; arriving at my home the same day I called.
He called me back that evening to update me on what he found. He replaced the power supply and did a virus scan and returned the computer to my home within 48 hours. I found him to be computer savy and very friendly. If we have computer issues in the future I will contact Mr Ferrell.

"Everything turned out well in the end. They had a few problems on the way but they fixed them. We’ve had them out for different things like the furnace, air conditioning and things like that. The main problem this time was, it wasn’t the same person that came out each time. One person made a mistake and then someone else had to come out and fix it. The person who made the mistake should have noticed they were doing something wrong. I don’t know if they were less experienced or if they didn’t pay attention or what it was. When we called and said there was a problem, they did get it corrected. They sent out somebody I guess with more experience and he took care of it. Overall I’m happy and would use them again. They did our furnace several years ago. I haven’t called or compared their prices to anyone. I have talked to friends who have had similar things done and they said the price is probably about right. It wasn’t a very professional way to did it though. I would use their services again in the future."

"Technician came to the house and analyzed the problem. It was determined that the cost of repair was over the allowable Choice Home Warranty limit and it should be replaced. Choice Home Warranty issued their replacement cost. This cost was unacceptable and I challenged their figure. After some negotiation I was offered an increased settlement amount. I still balked at their offer but I was told to take it or repair my old microwave. I finally accepted their amount, even though it is still well below what it will cost me to replace the unit. I might add that the existing microwave has the convection feature and I want to replace with same features. The cost that I will receive also does not include any removal, disposal or installation costs. At this time I am debating whether I will continue with Choice Home Warranty or consider other options."

"There was only one hang up. When I contacted them through e-mail I indicated that I wanted to talk about installing an antique wood burning stove in addition to the chimney inspection and cleaning. The appointment was made for the afternoon on a certain day. But, the guys called that morning and left a message on my voicemail saying they could come early. I did not get the voicemail and they showed up early anyway. I was not home but my mother was there. Unfortunately, these guys did not get the word from the scheduler in the office that I wanted to talk about the installation of the wood burning stove in addition to having the chimney cleaned. So they came did they work and left. I called the workers back (since I had their phone number from the voicemail) and communicated my annoyance at the schedule change. The guy was very apologetic and offered to come back though he was no longer available at the scheduled time which I had blocked off on my calendar.
However, we ended up talking about the project over the phone and he was able to give me all the information I needed about the potential installation over the phone. He was very knowledgable and helpful. So, I'd like to give them a "B" for punctuality though that doesn't seem to really fit the situation. So they get all As despite this little hitch.

"It went fine. I had to call them back because something came loose in the connection after the first time. But they came back and took care of it. They came right away, but they had to come back. They did the cleaning, and there was no charge. I had them replace something as well while they were there and they didn’t do that right, and they had to come back. But they were fine; they did what they promised to do. It was nothing great but nothing bad."
