I finally found a reliable tech who verified the leak was not at the outdoor compressor unit but then ghosted me. He obviously wanted no part in isolating each of 3 line-sets and indoor units to find the leak(s), much less commit to the grueling job of replacing any line-sets, which are routed through several crawl spaces. I was very grateful to find Will Lu from Distributor Air HVAC. He painstakenly did what had to be done to isolate the leaks to 2 of the line sets and then come back to replace them. He conducted himself professionally at all times and was always mindful of keeping my indoor space clean, putting down a pathway of drop cloths and donning booties. I found his rates to be reasonable. I would definitely recommend him to anyone. He earned my 5 stars. "

"First, my project was to install, from scratch, a new HVAC system, including ducting, with tha furnace in basement (initially, it was upstears in a closed). Last year and early this year, I got 3 contractors on site, by direct call, and none of them answered my spefic questions but taking pictures and promising that will send an estimate. I never got it. I was getting anxious. So I got the idea go to Angi. First visit I got in the same day I put my request on Angie's site, called his boss advice me to just change the furnace. I could not, because the previous system was heating OK only one half of the house. Finally, next day I got AJB visit an made me happy. He understood perfectly what I wanted and my concerns and explained to better and quite ingenious solutions on my suggestions. I understood him perfectly because I have strong knowledge of aero-dinamicsor or fluid mechanics so I signed the contract right then. Now, I have a sweet warm house in every corner of it."

"We bought a new construction and McCrea installed the HVAC. Home inspection identified the heat pump was not working in Oct. 2020. McCrea identified it was due to leaking refrigerants and promise fixed the issue. Our electric bill was extremely high the following two months and the heat pump was not cooling in Spring 2021. McCrea sent technician and again repaired the system. Bought their maintenance plan. We had 4+ repairs plus regular tune up in the past two years. Last week the heat pump stopped cooling again. We are out of labor warranty and charge us with $89 diagnostic cost after membership discount. It took three days for them to send someone to check while we suffering 90F in our house. They identified the compressor dead and need replacement. They charge $1900 for labor after membership discount. Most likely cause of the compressor failure is "suicide" with assistance. Low refrigerant at beginning and over change in later repairs likely contributed the short life."

It was Friday afternoon and we both agreed the issue was non-urgent so we scheduled an early Monday morning visit. He showed up at 8a sharp as we agreed and he did a thorough check of our AC system. Edmond is very knowledgeable and he explained everything thoroughly. He gave me a couple of suggestions. I’m pretty handy so I’ll try to tackle it myself. He said to just call him if I get stuck and he could either come back out or coach me over the phone. Pricing is reasonable and quality of service is top-notch. "JK uses a virtual estimate to provide a quote. That's a trick! It's common that the price they quote is a lot lower than what you WILL HAVE to pay to get your stuff. The process was easy, but can say the estimate we received to move across the country was $5,000 higher than 2 large PODs to start. In the end, they ended up adding almost $8,000...b/c they quoted the incorrect weight to start, as well as charging for a smaller truck that we never requested. The moving company that did the physical part, wasn't JK, and they were hard, polite, and great workers! I reached out and begged JK to help with the major increase (added 65% more to the total...and that was NOT budgeted in whatsoever! After numerous requests for ANY $ help, we were told simply "No." I worked with the physical moving company and they offered to help with some of the expenses...JK, Nope, Nadda, & basically told me TOO D*** BAD! DON'T USE THEM FOR ANY QUOTES!"
