As requested he tried to snake the drain but couldn’t get the snake to advance. Got a smaller snake with the same issue. The snake came back with rust and sludge. Well kitchen sinks are rather important so i gave the OK to replace the stack. Note that I live in a century home with 100 yo cast iron stacks. I nearly fainted when he showed me how the rust and sludge had narrowed the stack’s diameter to the size of my pinky. Through all of this Ivan answered all of my questions, kept me informed and gave me time to think which I very much appreciated. Would I tell my friends and neighbors to use Mr. Rooter? "BUYER BEWARE!!!!! This company is all about getting their $99.00 for the estimate, selling you an annual service fee and then quoting exuberant prices. Not really sure if they really care about doing the actual plumbing work. Recently gave me an estimate for a job of $500. Learned later after from another plumber that what they wanted to do was actually not correct AND should have cost no more than $250. Had I used Fayette Heating / H20 Mastero, I would have paid $600 for a job done incorrectly. At least the 99.00 I paid kept me from damaging my house further. There are a lot of reputable plumbers in Lexington. Suggest you look elsewhere"
