"Unlike another provider whom I did not hire, arrived exactly on time for the site survey. Worksite in Spotslyvania, VA, and I live in Arnold, MD, so about a 2 hr drive for me. Had a firm proposal within 24 hours, install was scheduled that day. On install day, technician arrived exactly on time, following all COVID precautions. Work was completed in slightly less time than he projected. Quality of the work was first rate. Left the house and area surrounding the work - install new heat pump outdoor unit and indoor unit in attic - cleaner than when they started. All three technicians who worked the project were just terrific. Friendly, respectful of the property, very informative. They made sure I understood the improvements they'd made to the ancillary portions of the system (e.g. drain pan and condensate drains from the attic), and worked through the new thermostat details as well. Everyone I'm came in contact with from Advanced Environment Solutions was professional, responsive and were truly interested in making sure I got what I needed. There is one other reason why I would implicitly trust these folks. When the president of the company (John Smith) came out to do the estimate, he carefully explained the various levels of the systems that would match the house. He did NOT try to "upsell" me on a system that was more expensive than the property warranted. He carefully explained the technical benefits of proposed upgrades to the drain systems and the need to install a path from the attic entrance to the interior unit for safety (agreed immediately). I'm a licensed mechanical engineer, and his explanations were complete and accurate. In sum, a highly professional company, exacting standards of technical performance, they listen to their customers and their integrity is unmatched."

"I contacted Bluestar Air Mechanical for a second opinion after an appointment with Air One. I have a Carrier HVAC system, and the Air One technician recommended a complete system replacement, claiming the blower was bad, the furnace control board needed replacing, and that there were other issues. Since replacing the HVAC is a big investment, I wanted to get a second opinion. It was only after comparing the service from Bluestar that I realized Air One may have been pushing for a new system sale or lacked the expertise to properly diagnose and repair the actual problems. Isaac, the technician from Bluestar, spent about an hour thoroughly diagnosing and fixing the issues. He found burnt wiring in the furnace and discovered that the wrong capacitor had been incorrectly installed in the AC. Isaac replaced the burnt wiring in the furnace and the capacitor in the AC. "Patrick (Territory Manager - Salesman) was thorough, professional, courteous, and punctual. He clearly laid out options/products and provided all necessary company information. Modern Mechanical pushes Lennox brand equipment, which is a solid product based on my research and what I have seen so far. The equipment (variable speed air handler, 17 SEER outdoor unit, water heater) were installed in about a week from the time of purchase. Installer was experienced, efficient, clean and thorough. A couple of issues came up during/after install - including the need for an upgraded thermostat (to control the advanced air handler), the need for a converter box due to existing old aluminum wire, additional duct work to handle added air pressures, loud initial air movement, etc. Each of these issues were identified and handled immediately by Modern Mechanical, at no additional cost to me. Also of note, during installation, my sump pump was inadvertently damaged. I notified Patrick, and within 1 hour a plumber from Modern Mechanical was at my door with a new pump and was promptly installed -- free of charge. I can't say enough about the company; great people, great products, excellent customer service."
