"First, I would like to say that Wilson Delgado was a delight to deal with--good-natured, patient, positive, and accommodating. He obviously takes great pride and care in his work. In this case, he didn't know what he was getting into--this was his first experience repairing a futon frame (an old one at that). The job required disassembling the frame in order to transport the base to his shop. This was not an easy repair. The main supporting cross piece had cracked, and it required creative thinking to devise a solution for repairing and reinforcing the broken piece. He spent a lot of time on this job--including spending extra time to reinforce the other end, which he discovered was cracked as well. He also went to the trouble to try to locate a replacement washer. He and his assistant delivered the frame (for consultation, pick-up, and delivery, he accommodated our work schedules and came in the evening). It took all four of us to figure out how to reassemble the frame, a rather frustrating experience, but Wilson and his assistant both remained calm and we did it! 
I should add that this was an Angie's List Big Deal ($99 for $200 worth of furniture restoration, repair, or refinishing), which turned out to be well worth the price--certainly a better deal for us than it was for Wilson. But despite the fact that it took him more time than expected, he did not ask for more money, which was very generous. We paid an additional $60 for pick-up and delivery of the futon frame.

"I called Rescue1 based on Angie's List reviews and was not disappointed.  Il left the repair cost box blank because everyone's needs will vary, based on the job, complications, etc.  I did call two other plumbers for estimates, and Larry's estimate was extremely competitive.  Larry listened to my description of the small rust marks around and on my water heater, and agreed that it probably needed to be replaced.  I'm happy that he is tech-savvy -- the night before the repair, I thought I had a major problem, and texted him with the question.  He responded ASAP to my question -- problem solved!  He and his assistant showed up on time, used the little booties religiously, and got right to work.  He was attentive to my concerns about the placement of the drain pan and heater itself.  He even made a proactive fix to a drain pipe because he didn't like its potential for leaking. Larry answered all my questions, educated me about how to keep the water heater running well, and had a great can-do attitude.  I will definitely use Recsue1 for my future plumbing/gas work.

"Barry conducted the scan, taking a good deal of time with us.  He explained what he was seeing on his camera as we accompanied him on the scan, and took care to pay special attention to spots we were concerned about.  Barry has a lot of experience across several areas and was able to offer good advice on issues he saw.  I will implement quite a few of his suggestions, especially regarding exterior water management.  He also pointed out improvements that I could likely handle myself in order to save some money, which I appreciate.
The scan confirmed some things we knew about and identified some we did not.  Since we are planning to put in a decent amount of money and work into our house, we feel that this service is well worth the money to be as informed as possible prior to committing the money and effort.

"I made an appointment for Thursday morning and the man arrived at 11 A.M. He completely inspected the ice maker and told me that the water valve that fills the ice maker has a leak. He told me what he needed to do to fix the problem and what parts were needed. He ordered the parts and told me that he made another appointment to install the new parts and finish the repairs."

"Kenny Ferguson is very responsive to customer requests. He communicates well to the customer and to his men. Fernado and Mike were very careful in their work and aimed to please the customer. The lights and painted ceiling looked great. They were very pleasant and yet professional in their attitude and work. They cleaned up everything when they were done. "Well, the first time the replacement was ordered it was the wrong one, which of course, delayed the installation a week. When it was finally installed I had to pay an additional $850 for code upgrades. This I was not informed of by Home Shield. Then we noticed that there was water on the garage floor and found that the pipe coming in from the wall was leaking at the wall so had to call the plumbing company back out to fix it. They first tried to say it was not their fault but since there wasn't a leak before they installed they did fix it. I have used Home Shield a few times before and never had a problem. Some of the companies they use are not the best so you have to research them before you commit. I have found HS service to be good if you do your homework. At the end of the day I was without hot water for almost 3 weeks but it was do to the plumbing company they sent out."
