"Excellent. I can't say enough about how pleased I am with Southern Air Mechancial LLC for my Air conditioning service needs. Out of habit, I had been using another vendor who recently told me in the last 10 days that my unit was oversized for my duct work, that it was going to take 6 hours to fix it, and was about to sell me a part with installation and labor that would have cost $1400. The tech said it would break in a year and the owner basically tried to sell me a new AC unit. Got a little suspicious after asking if my unit could be adjusted since it was a variable speed down to a 3 ton and the owner said, "well, let me send my tech again". I called Southern Air and spoke to Clint, the owner. I had purchased the unit 7 years ago and without hesitation, Clint visited with his technician, and replaced the part that was a known problem with my manufacturer. He warrantied the part and was back out in two days and had the system cooling within 2 hours. I will only use Southern Air Mechanical and now know how trustworthy they are and what excellent service they provide. You can't and will not go wrong by choosing Southern Air Mechanical for your AC needs."

"Great! We woke up about 3:00 a.m. and the temperature in our home was 82 deg. I called Grant around 8:00 and they promised to get us on the service list. The technician came out above it 2:30 and immediately identified a part that needed to be replaced. He fortunately had an extra on his truck and quickly got it installed. We were expecting a much high bill and we're thrilled when he gave us the bill for $130! We've dealt with less than honest companies in the past who would have taken advantage of the situation and claimed we needed an entire new system. "I hired Ace Repair Plumbing to replace my old failed water heater. I initially talked to Toni at the office and she was pleasant and professional. The office immediately scheduled a plumber to come out to my home. My plumber Doug checked out the water heater, gave me a quote, then started the replacement job. "This HVAC company has a very good service cal charge - $30, and they refund it if you use them for repair. But that is where is ends. 
They wanted to charge me $155 to replace a short piece of electrical wire (<1 foot), and which only takes 2 minutes to replace. Even though it was clear that s short piece of wire was burnt out, they also wanted me to replace the Connector and the capacitor (as a precaution) for about $300 each.
I just used them for service call and then replaced the wire myself - my system is working fine now.

"I had to get a air handler reinstalled due to a bad install in FEB. This company is great. Jason and his team were awesome and they were down to earth and felt like we have been friends for years. Jason took the time to let me know where they were throughout they morning and showed me what they needed to replace and why it needed to be replaced. If you want it done right and you want to feel comfortable around the people you get to work on your home these are the guys to call."

"A#1 air technician did the spring tune up perfectly. No complaints about the quality of the work. However, there is quite a bit of upselling that I do not like. They recommend some systems that may or may not improve the overall efficiency of the compressor. And they try to cross sell other services like Electrical safety check. Also, my neighbor had a very large price quote for an AC Capacitor replacement with A#1 air - and when he called the supervisor, they were able to reduce the price down to a more realistic one. This to me is an orange flag. "

"I can't describe the details, but the service man fixed several problems that I was having with a very old a/c system.  He did not try to sell me a new unit, but did a great job of repairing the old one.
