"Excellent. I can't say enough about how pleased I am with Southern Air Mechancial LLC for my Air conditioning service needs. Out of habit, I had been using another vendor who recently told me in the last 10 days that my unit was oversized for my duct work, that it was going to take 6 hours to fix it, and was about to sell me a part with installation and labor that would have cost $1400. The tech said it would break in a year and the owner basically tried to sell me a new AC unit. Got a little suspicious after asking if my unit could be adjusted since it was a variable speed down to a 3 ton and the owner said, "well, let me send my tech again". I called Southern Air and spoke to Clint, the owner. I had purchased the unit 7 years ago and without hesitation, Clint visited with his technician, and replaced the part that was a known problem with my manufacturer. He warrantied the part and was back out in two days and had the system cooling within 2 hours. I will only use Southern Air Mechanical and now know how trustworthy they are and what excellent service they provide. "I hired Ace Repair Plumbing to replace my old failed water heater. I initially talked to Toni at the office and she was pleasant and professional. The office immediately scheduled a plumber to come out to my home. My plumber Doug checked out the water heater, gave me a quote, then started the replacement job. When Doug finished the job he thoroughly explained how the new water heat works and how the new plumbing system works. Doug was very knowledgeable, professional and polite. I will use this company again for any plumbing issues I might have in the future."

"The technician arrived on time and worked on the A/C tuneup while another Angie's List service was being performed on a newer house in Allen that I had closed on the week before.  In addition to the service purchased, he also helped to level the pad.
He performed the tuneup efficiently and did not "find" any other issues that needed additional repairs.

"Computer did the "gotta send info to Microsoft" but when tried to reboot it ran through automatic repair without success. I did all the alternative without any success. He came and picked up the hard drive on Tuesday and returned it on Saturday. Fortunately he was able to "restore" without any data loss. Very happy with outcome."

"This HVAC company has a very good service cal charge - $30, and they refund it if you use them for repair. But that is where is ends. 
They wanted to charge me $155 to replace a short piece of electrical wire (<1 foot), and which only takes 2 minutes to replace. Even though it was clear that s short piece of wire was burnt out, they also wanted me to replace the Connector and the capacitor (as a precaution) for about $300 each.
I just used them for service call and then replaced the wire myself - my system is working fine now.

"I had to get a air handler reinstalled due to a bad install in FEB. This company is great. Jason and his team were awesome and they were down to earth and felt like we have been friends for years. Jason took the time to let me know where they were throughout they morning and showed me what they needed to replace and why it needed to be replaced. If you want it done right and you want to feel comfortable around the people you get to work on your home these are the guys to call."

"Heard them on the radio, so gave them a call to get estimate on a new HVAC system for my house. They were very prompt and I had a salesman/tech here the next day. I already had a few estimates from other contractors. I am in the construction business also; So I know what work needs to be done and the cost. The person they sent out was very professional and knowledgeable about HVAC .The system he proposed was exactly what was needed .There were no short cuts and or trying to add anything that was really not needed. This guy new HVAC system and installation throughly.I wanted to sign contract with him. So ,He gives me the estimates. Everything was great but the pricing was just incredibly higher compared to everybody else. With the same system from competitors with the same work (Replace plenum ,warranty,etc.) I did not say anything to the salesperson about the price.He did great job representing A1 Air. I thanked for his time but unfortunately will not go with them In conclusion; I feel they would have done an outstanding job with excellent service and equipment. There pricing for “me” was just too high. Now ,if you don’t know anything about construction/HVAC cost.They would be a great company to do business with.You get a very complete Top notch install with great equipment.With a great company to stand behind the system. It’s kinda like my wife going shopping at Neiman Marcus.They sale top quality products, service is outstanding, and they stand behind everything 100 percent. You do pay a hefty premium for all of that. So it up to the buyer"

"I had a Big Deal. They came out a few days after the deal was purchased. There was an additional charge. We they recommend all these other things and we decided to do them - cleaning additional ducts and sanitizing. For the $89 we paid for the Big Deal, it could have come with a bit more instead of having to pay all the extras. I'm not sure I'd use them again. I'd probably call around."
