"Arrived at 9:30 am. Installation went smoothly. They took away the old system. Very happy with the new Carrier system. They showed me how to program the digital thermostat. I was without AC for a week because my old AC's condenser coil had a leak in the aluminum part. My condenser was mismatched with my air handler/evaporator so the whole system needed to be replaced. These guys did a great job and cleaned up the work debris after."

"My 30+ year air handling system failed. Mr. Holmes knew that this part of my system was probably done with. He tried a couple of parts that did not work. He had to leave for another appointment, but took a photo and did some research. His suppliers told him that this handler did not exist any more. However, one supplier found one on a shelf, and could ship it, but would not guarantee performance since it was so old. Mr. Holmes gave me an option of getting and installing the air handler or replace whole new system (new compressor unit and updated air handling unit) with a 10 year guarantee. I mulled it over and called him back and opted for the whole new system. Bart came back out, evaluated what I needed and gave me a quote. Bart was able to obtain the system on Saturday morning and a crew and the whole system was installed and running by 3:30 PM on Saturday. I highly recommend this company, because Mr. Holmes is very honest and educational. Another positive experience with Angie's list."

Prestige arrived a few hours after calling them on a busy Sunday and quickly assessed the problem. By Monday morning comfort had returned. Although I expect every A/C company to show up and say the same thing "It'll cost $9,000 and 4 weeks to fix or we can sell you a new unit." In this case the unit was installed 14 years ago and it was truly time to move on. Prestige gave me a great price on a unit and got it installed right away. The workers were professional and it was obvious they took pride in their work and respected the company and owner. "I don't usually give all 5 star reviews, but these people deserved it. I have had ducting issues with this central air unit for years. Barely any air comes out of the duct in the master bedroom, which is always warmer than the rest of the house. Other A/C companies have quoted me upwards of $1,500 to install an completely new ducting system. That seemed outrageous to me considering I only had trouble with one duct, that was literally 3 feet from the air handler. When the unit finally stopped cooling, I called Speedy Air. Mike came out the next day. The system was low on freon, as I expected. The fan motor, run capacitors, and contactor were faulty. No surprise considering the system was 8 years old and I have heard the contactor buzzing. Mike checked the system and found the leak in the evaporator that the previous technician from another company couldn't find a couple of years ago. He also looked up the warranty information on the unit and all the parts were covered. What I thought might be $1,000 or more came to less than $500. Best of all was what he found with my ducting. The problem was that the original company installed the air handler too close to the rafters on one end. That meant they had to use an abnormally small plenum, which caused the airflow problems. They were also the ones trying to get me to pay $1,500 to fix the problem they caused. Mike suggested to wait until the air handler eventually needed replacing, and change the ducting then. In the mean time he turned up the speed setting on the fan motor itself. For the first time in years we get adequate flow for the master bedroom! What else can I say. Mike ran his buns off, we had cold air within 2 hours, he solved my duct problem at no cost, all for under $500."
