"Excellent! Bernie Albair, HVAC Service Technician at Heritage Plumbing, Heating, Cooling & Electric of Auburn, NH (1-800-977-4737) knew exactly what the problem was and able to fix the problem immediately. He then explained the problem to me in detail. The repair work was done on a Sunday evening and the Technician was done in 30 minutes. Heritage came within 1 hour of calling. Couldn't ask for more professional service! Will definitely call them again!"

"My Mom was very happy with the service - she was worried that this would be a very expensive fix and just avoided using the dryer for several months. He quoted her a price after checking it out and also noticed an additional issue with the venting due to prior house paining that she was not aware of. Gill's had her all set in one visit and she was very pleased with the response, ease of scheduling, and the extra steps he took to make sure everything was set up correctly. She wishes she did it sooner and will definitely call again if she has problems with any of her other appliances. I was also told that she thought he was very honest and appreciated the fact that he took the time and explained and showed everything to her of what was wrong so she knew what the problem was. Its been several months now and the dryer is working perfectly.

"AHS is ok. They cover repairs of most everything under the roof of your house. The companies that contract with them are not always the best. You call AHS with the issue, they send a fax to the repair company and give you the contact info. If they don't contact you within 24 hours, you call them. Sometimes they answer, sometimes they don't. When they arrive (usually three days or so later), they service the item. if it has issues within the 90 days, you call AHS again, they are sent out with no charge. If the serviceman decides the unit is unrepairable, AHS will allow you to choose a replacement from their listing (usually not as good as what you have) they will install and remove your old item, or give you wholesale amount to buy and install your own. Prices vary on what you want covered and what you want the copay to be, plus where you live. For me it is 49.99 per month with a 75.00 time of service order. You can have more than one item serviced at the same time under the same fee. If you have a SEAR product the repair guys are great. Not that wild about the other ones they send out. But it is a big savings compared to calling someone on your own. The cost of service is only the 75.00 copay."

"Overall, I wasn't happy with the entire experience. It said, in small print, up to X number of square feet or cubic feet or however they do it and then, there might be extra service charge for this and this and this. My big problem was that it ended up costing me pretty much double what the original coupon had cost. I wasn't happy because I checked around with some of my local providers. This guy was out of Springfield, Massachusetts. I got a couple of quotes from local providers. Of course, it was too late by then. I had already put up the initial $5000 to Angie's List. His price ended up being close to $2000 more. I could have just had a local guy come in and do the job. So, I wasn't happy about that. It took a long time for both myself and him to connect. Some of it was my fault and some of it was his fault. He was hard to get hold of and often, very hard to get him to respond to me. He was going through some personal issues with his family, which I understood and I was fine with. So he ended up doing the job probably far after the coupon even expired. So he was accommodating about that and I appreciated that about him. He actually is a nice guy to talk to. But he ended up putting the wrong color roof on and I wasn't happy. I had gone away for the few days that he was doing the roof, which I realize now wasn't very smart. But because I work out of my home, I couldn't work and have somebody banging on my roof. So I ended up leaving to go somewhere else to be able to do my work during the period of time he wandered on my roof. So it wasn't until I got back home and discovered the color of the roof, which I wasn't happy about. I didn't end up calling and complaining to him about it because it didn't seem reasonable to me to make him comeback and change the roof. So I was just not happy. It ended up costing far far more and when I talked to him about that, he told me that Angie's List sets the price and not him and so I should complain to Angie's List. I don't know the truth of it. I really don't understand how the whole process works. They did one other thing I wasn't happy with. I have a back attic storage area. It was part of the roof that was done. This had not been an issue before they did my roof. The nails that they used were much longer and more pointed than whoever had put up my initial roof. So I came into my storage area about a month after they did this roof and found that there were wood chips all over my possessions back there. With these pointing nails there, I had to be really careful because I couldn't poke myself in the head, trying to get to my things. They hadn't told me about it and they hadn't warned me about it. I would have appreciated if he had said, "If you have anything, cover them up because there will be wood chips from us banging nails into your roof. So there was just a bunch of stuff like that. The workmen were professional enough. They were polite enough. They didn't leave a huge mess around my house. It looked like they had tried pretty hard to clean it up pretty well. Angie's List offers what they say is a great deal and then, it doesn't turn out to be a deal at all. By the time, you're in the middle of this deal and you've already put up so much money, you can't walk away from the deal. So, it was not a happy experience for me. I've been really questioning whether I want to continue to be an Angie's List member because I haven't felt good about a lot of things that I've done."

"Excellent, punctual and responsive service! Richard came personally and diagnosed the problem, ran to the store for parts and fixed it, explaining the situation throughout the process. He didn't try to run up the price or drag out the repair. He came when he said he would and fixed the problem for a very reasonable price. I plan to use him for all of our future home projects."
