"Within 5 minutes after Roy walked in, I knew I was speaking with an expert. He talked me out of wasting money on what I wanted (getting rid of boiler and replying on furnace) telling me about how everyone in the city during -40 degree nights was will freeze and if I keep the boiler I'll be comfy. He also talked me out of choosing a heat pump, saying in Chicago it will cause problems in the dead of winter and then I'll be out of luck. Initial estimate was only to replace the 60 year oil leaky boiler and 40 year old loud AC and furnace. Came in, did the work quickly, and when we were doing final inspection he pointed out where my last remaining original furnace was having problems. Gave me a great price to just get the the last furnace and AC done (AC was 40 years old). I know they won't be the cheapest but if you want someone you can trust who will guide you with his 30 years of experience and teach you the finer details of heating and cooling while delivering quality work, go with Porterhouse. I won't trust anyone else."

He was a pleasure to work with and the price quote was more than acceptable. I did accept and within the week the crew arrived to do the installation. Al and Damien were very professional and the work was extremely well done. They finished that same day and when they left it was if the new units had always been there. "Christopher was very courteous and knowledgeable. Instead of just installing the shut-off valve, he inspected downstairs to see if there was a shut-off valve located elsewhere. He discovered that there was one and therefore, did not need to install another one. He even offered to speak to the gas dryer delivery guys to ensure that they are able to install the new gas dryer when they redeliver (they refused to install when they came the first time since they didn't see a shut-off valve). I would definitely use them again."

"Bought Amana (Single Stage) HVAC System. Our old American Standard HVAC broke. They came in 2 weeks before and replaced the Gas Valve for $600 and 2 weeks later that broke too because of the electric board. They convinced us that instead of spending more money on parts that may also break later it's better to buy a new HVAC system. They recommended Amana dual stage - Variable system but next day they called that it was a mistake to recommend that because it doesn't exist in 15" size, so now they recommended Single stage and lower the price by $500. Not only that, but they helped us and went out of way to accommodate us with price. Likewise, they fixed it during Thanksgiving weekend."

"Tim Reed was very knowledgeable and persistent. I had a clog where my tub was filling up with sewage when the grey water sump pump pumped water into the drainage pipes. Over 20 years I have had on and off problems with this and it was getting worse. I had 2 plumbing companies come out before Precision, and they both said the old drainage pipes need to be replaced for over $2000.00. Tim was able to get rid of the clog with a special clog busting tool that was small enough to go into the small drainage pipes. The sump pump water now flows fast and does not come close to the tub drainage which was a problem when I first bought the house. So of course I am extremely happy to get rid of this persistent problem that has been plaguing me forever. Thank you."

"Cody showed up on time. Very polite young technician Appears to know his job well. He examined the indoor part of the system. Verified what initially indicated to his office that Freon is needed. He indicated that vents need to be cleaned before sealant and Freon can be added. Cost was as follows: $96 diagnostics + $203 for 1.5 pound Freon & labor + $60 another 30 minutes labor + $187 sealant (cost $27 on Amazon) = $545. System is working well. This cost is significantly higher than last service provider."
