"My wife and I are glad that we chose to work with Accutemp, and in particular, their residential manager, Matt, for our HVAC installation. Matt was extremely responsive, clear, and upfront during the entire process, from the planning phase, to post-installation questions. We have already recommended Matt and Accutemp to several of our friends, including our neighbors past and present. With regard to the particular project we worked with Accutemp on, my wife and I bought a house in Newton built in the 1800s that didn't have any air conditioning. We had gotten multiple estimates and met with a number of contractors to discuss the project, as the age of the house and the unique interior layout and design made it a very challenging job. We ended up having a ductless mini-split heat pump system installed (provides both heat and AC). Matt and Accutemp not only gave us the most competitive bid in terms of financials, but there's was also the only bid to include the installation of a sixth indoor air handling unit. Every other contractor we met with insisted that five would be sufficient. Having now lived through some 90+ degree days, we can definitively say that the sixth unit is essential to keeping the whole house cool and comfortable. On the initial date of HVAC install, Matt and his team arrived at our home to find that my electrician (who had to do major work preceding the HVAC install) had not stuck to his original stated plan, completely throwing off Accutemp's plans. In less than thirty minutes, Matt spoke with the electrician, discussed the available options with me, and formulated an alternative, the results of which we were equally happy with. Matt also came out and reviewed the functioning of our boiler, along with recommended repair/replacement options and the cost of each option. Ultimately, we decided not to replace the boiler, but we have a better sense of how and when to approach doing so after meeting with him and discussing it. Finding reliable contractors in any field can be difficult, and in particular with HVAC, we had less-than stellar service in the past in the Boston area. We are happy to have found Accutemp and Matt, and look forward to working with them in the future on all of our HVAC needs."

"We called for an estimate and Earl suggested a visit to assess the situation (this was good since the other contractor we contacted gave us an estimate without a visit.) He came within a few days, examined the floor, and gave us a written estimate and a detailed description of the work to be done. He also suggested against removing the mastic - which would have cost more - since he did not think the cost/benefit ratio was good enough for us. The work was scheduled to take two days. The workers were prompt and spent the first day just setting up, including moving some furniture for us, which was nice. The second day was spent actually removing the tile. In retrospect, this was only one day's worth of work. It would have been a bit more convenient to have it done in one day. Once they were done, there was little evidence that they had been there (except for the missing tile!) They also laid plastic over the concrete floor at our request - since it was going to be a few days until we could replace the flooring. Overall, they were prompt, effective and professional."

"Finally a great company you can rely on to get the job done! I have used them for my multi-family home for years and have always been so happy to have this wonderful team of people to help me out. From Joanie in the office to all the great plumbers, Brandon, TJ, Kyle, Jorge to name a few they are all so professional, friendly and knowledgeable. They are easy to work with, they call you 1/2 hour prior to arrival, cover their boots when they are in your home and have a low monthly charge for their service plan, which is worth every penny. Brandon has been out the most and he is a wealth of knowledge. He had so many issues to figure out this go around and he found all the issues in a methodical way. He's straight up trustworthy too. One leak was from the tenants toilet and needed a new flange and was pulled and set, and an old cast iron pipe cut and replaced with new pvc drain line. Another leak was from an old laundry valve which left a lot of water in the basement who knew?! An old shower valve was causing the rattle and was replaced. Lastly the for the other toilet problem, he suggested I buy a toilet and he would install it saving me hundreds of dollars! He even gave me the brands that he liked for toilets. Brandon even checked my furnace, gave me some suggestions and gave me a quote on the water heaters that are close to replacement.
