"Jose and crew were timely, conscientious, great communicator, hard-working and tidy. They treated my little 1940 cabin in the desert like a brand new home. They worked with the materials I supplied and it was very enjoyable listening to them enjoying their work. I would highly recommend them.!"

"What wonderful people! The floors in my home are beautiful! Everything happened easily and neatly. Replacing carpet with hardwood is not easy, but they made it seem that way. Very caring, helpful people and beautiful craftsmanship!"

"I called Bath Planet Atlanta and the crew was the best from start to finish. In preparation for a new tenant, the apartment had to be redone within a month's time. Everything came out great. The crew was on point with patience and professionalism. They were on time and made sure the place was cleaned after each day. We, initially, needed a bathroom redone from the beams in preparation for a new tenant. It started out with the bathroom. The kitchen cabinets needed to be replaced, hallway and living room floors needed to be restrained and bedroom French doors need to be replaced. As a rental property owner, I have put Bath Planet's number on speed dial. He is thorough, reasonable and listens to the client's ideas and concerns. Would highly recommend Bath Planet Atlanta to anyone looking to upgrade their apartment!"

"There was quite a lot of work to do and for a project this size we did not expect everything to go perfectly.   For the most part, we are very satisfied and would use them again, but not for all projects.   We thought the price was very fair.   The price they quoted was for labor, tile and hardwood.   We paid Lowes and Home Depot separately for paint, vanities, bathroom faucets & hardware, new tub, and misc supplies.  The crew that did the travertine tile installation and bathroom renovations did a great job.   We are also extremely pleased with the hardwood floor installation and refinishing of existing hardwood floor.   Prior to starting the work, a gentleman met us at the tile store and helped us pick out the new bathroom tile -- this was very helpful and much appreciated.  Our main disappointment was with the painters.   They had problems with their spraying equipment and seemed haphazard in their approach to the project -- trim in one room would be done but not the walls, walls in another room would be done but not the trim, half a wall would be painted and then they would move to another room, eventually everything was painted correctly and looked great but the painters slowed down the entire project causing it to take longer than expected.  There were other minor issues that were eventually resolved to our satisfaction.   We would use 2hireahandyman again but we would hire someone else for any painting projects.

Fix ceiling patches What was left undone - doors, walls were not painted to completely cover the previous paint or cut in, already white closets and walls were not painted to their entirety Condition the house was left in - sanding dust left throughout the house, paint on chandelier, paint droppings and footprints left throughout the house and bathroom floors, open beer cans left throughout home and back patio, outlet and switch covers left off Service - when asked to come back to complete the job and touch up spots, the wrong paint was used and 10% of the job was left unfinished"

"I met the owner, Benji, in June after a small fire in my home that occurred back in February. The first restoration company that we used had to be fired because they did absolutely nothing for 3 moths. Benji was a God send, he promised that he could restore my home to its condition prior to the fire as well as the majority of the renovation/remodeling and act as my general contractor. I hired Advanced Quality Constructor for the job in June 2022. The framing jobs that he performed were all excellent with the exception of the one of the beams in the kitchen that was apparently cut during the demo but it was the beam of a load bearing wall so that needs to be fixed. The demo and framing that was done in the attic conversion also looked good. The issues started in areas where he didn't have or use the correct tools to do the job. The Master bathroom demo and renovation took almost (3) months for just 1 bathroom and once it was completed and inspected it was not done to my satisfaction. Due to using a circular saw instead of a table saw none of the cuts of a bathroom with tile for floor to ceiling were cut correctly. Each tile has very noticeable rugged ridges. Because of the continuous starting and stopping over the 3 months roughly 75% of the tile is either uneven or visibly crooked. The grouting is incomplete and was never even cleaned off. In the tile shower you can see indentations from each of the individual floor tiles grids. All of the edges of the tile will need some type of trim or crown molding to hide the rugged cuts. The bathroom vanity is a floating vanity and if you lean on it it moves like its about to fall off the wall, it's being held up by pieces of wood behind it that you can see because it wasn't mounted to a stud. He tiled the entire wall and then went back to mount the vanity. It's only been a month and the caulk is already beginning to crack. The shower head is leaking and running down the wall when you turn on the shower so I'm concerned that the leak is also happening behind the wall. My plumber said that it likely is and that I should remove the tile to double check. The hand shower does not work because he used an old handset from a different fixture instead of the one that came with the showered that I purchase. The wall mounted plumbing fixtures purchased for the standing tub are crooked and need to be taken out and redone. The door trim around master bath linen closet was removed and never replaced so now theres absolutely no trim around the door and there a piece of tile that was never cut that hangs about a foot and would prevent a door from being able to be closed anyway. The tile around all electrical wall switches is so unevenly cut that you can't use separate covers. I ordered jumbo size covers from Amazon that I'm hoping will work. The hot/cold faucets on the double sink are installed in the wrong direction so hot is on the right, cold is on the left, and they're faced inward instead of outward. Theres piles of lumber that was left, feet of sawdust that was never swept up, trashed lumber in my driveway that could have simply been put inside of the dumpster instead of leaving it around the dumpster. I also purchased a table saw that I was to be reimbursed for. The most hurtful thing is that I paid in advance for work that was never performed."

"Angie’s choice did an incredible job on my home. I was very pleased with my remodel, I gave them my ideas and they made it happen. Amir gave me some great suggestions from my original plan and I couldn’t be happier with the outcome in the end."

"In a word?  ? Awesome!!!?  Leonardo and his wife are terrific!  They installed a new frameless glass shower and replaced a broken window.  We could not have asked for better service.  Two appointments ? one to measure and the other to install.  For both appointments they arrived on time. Leonardos wife gave suggestions on the shower glass options.  The install was total quality start to finish.  As far as price, when I checked with several vendors, Leonardo was hands down the best deal ? the Angie?s list coupon made the deal even better.  I would highly recommend this company to anyone that has any glass needs.

FAQs for new home building projects in Newnan, GA

Stone homes offer exceptional longevity compared to conventional building methods. These structures resist fire, insects, and severe weather conditions that often damage standard construction. While initial construction costs may exceed those of building methods, stone homes require less frequent repairs and maintenance over their lifespan. Many historic stone structures have remained functional for centuries, demonstrating their remarkable durability and longevity. This extended lifespan can result in lower long-term ownership costs, despite the higher initial investment.

Stone construction provides natural temperature regulation through thermal mass, potentially reducing heating and cooling requirements. As a natural material, stone requires minimal processing compared to manufactured building products. However, quarrying operations can impact local ecosystems, and transporting heavy stone materials creates significant carbon emissions. Homeowners can minimize environmental impact by selecting locally sourced stone and incorporating recycled materials where possible. The exceptional longevity of stone structures often results in a favorable environmental assessment over their lifetime compared to buildings that require frequent replacement.

Stone construction progresses more slowly than standard building methods due to the meticulous nature of stonework. The process requires careful material selection, precise placement, and appropriate curing times for mortar. Weather conditions significantly impact the construction timeline, as masonry work often has to pause during unfavorable conditions. The specialized skills required and the limited availability of experienced stonemasons can also extend project schedules. Homeowners should plan for extended construction timelines when pursuing stone house projects.

Most stone house projects utilize construction financing that converts to permanent mortgages upon completion. While stone construction represents a premium building method, some lenders recognize the inherent value and durability these structures provide. Construction loans require detailed plans, specifications, and contractor estimates for approval. Some regions offer specialized programs for traditional building methods or energy-efficient construction that may apply to stone houses. Consulting with multiple lenders helps identify the most favorable financing options for your specific project.
