A1 Glass and Mirror is a locally owned and operated residential and commercial glass replacement company. We specialize in window glass replacement for homes and businesses, custom shower glass installation, mirrors, and commercial storefront and glass partition walls. We have deep industry experience across all our service areas with the touch of a small business to ensure you get the highest quality final product. A1 Glass and Mirror has been serving the Portland-Beaverton area for over 50 years.

"As the saying goes...."if I could give zero to negative stars I would". This review is not to spite the company but to warn other customers to GO SOMEWHERE ELSE! My experience with A1 Glass Beaverton was a comedy of errors....though I am not laughing. It started with an incorrect quote, which I had to call and tell the company about (even though the quote was actually in MY favor). Then I scheduled the window replacement. The written estimate noted that work will be completed 2-4 weeks after written quote. I did not hear from them for 4 weeks and called them to inquire. They said simply the glass was "on order" and they were waiting. After another period of time, I called them and they said they were having a problem with the supplier and they would need more time (they did not bother to pick up the phone and tell me that even though now it was well over a month....going on 2 months). After finally receiving the glass, they scheduled the install on dates when I told them I would be out of town. I received a text in the morning and scrambled to try to find someone to go to the house to meet them. I texted them back questioning why they scheduled it when they knew I was away. Heather sent me a text back saying "I didn't confirm the appointment because I knew you would be overseas". Uhm...well then why did I receive a text saying they were on their way? The appt was then rescheduled to a little over a week later. When the gentlemen arrived to install the glass, they said the measurements that the estimator took were incorrect. After removing my window and trying to make it work, they could not. They simply put my old glass back in the frame and said they could not complete the job and that the office would be in touch. Well, after two weeks I called because no one had called me back. Heather said that "she didn't want to pass the buck, but the installers were supposed to call me back". I then told her that the installers told me that the worn out rubber gasket surrounding the window that was part of the job as per her written email confirmation would not be part of the job "as the gaskets are way too expensive to replace" (said by one of the installers). Really?? You said it was covered and now you are trying to put new windows in a frame with a gasket that is obviously falling apart?? How is this acceptable workmanship PLUS you confirmed in your email that it was included. When I asked Heather about this she said she was new and misunderstood my question about the gasket. I told her to take this situation to the owner as it has now been 3.5 months since I gave them my deposit and that this entire experience was unacceptable. The owner, Bryce, called me back and said that they could not replace the gasket and had no means of sourcing one. REALLY? You are a window company and can't do a gasket on a window? I let him know of my ridiculous experience with his company and he just KEPT repeating that they could not complete the work. The best he could do is give me my deposit back. He made no effort to remedy the problem. So.....now after almost 4 months, I am at ground zero. Thanks for nothing but a hassle."

"Embed review Write an update Edit review 4/26/2020 1 photo "BEWARE MATRIX INTEGRATED" I m 57 year old local small business owner and recently found my lifelong dream car a Twin Turbo Porsche Gemballa It needed work, a new clutch, electrical etc. I also wanted some mods so I started searching for the right shop. After researching I decided to try "MATRIX INTEGRATED". They assured me they could handle anything I needed on my highly modified Porsche and all their work was GUARANTEED so I took it in.The prices were a lot higher than most places but I figured it would be worth it for high quality guaranteed work. I'm not wealthy but I understand the value of quality work an I am willing to pay but expect to get what I pay for. Everything seemed to be going well until I picked the car up. paid the almost $10,000 bill and started home. The first serious issue actually started ON THE WAY HOME while on the freeway the new "high performance" clutch started slipping badly with just slight acceleration. So...of course the minute I arrived home I called MATRIX. They just told me it was normal. I'm no novice, I have been racing high performance vehicles of all kinds since I was a kid and have broken in many new clutch on numerous vehicles and never experienced anything like this. I do most of my own work on my all my vehicles including several clutch installations. They THEN gave me very detailed instructions on how to break in the clutch. Funny thing is THEY GAVE ME NO INSTRUCTIONS WRITTEN OR OTHERWISE UPON PICKING THE CAR UP? ***!! Saying it could keep slipping like that for between 500 to 1000 miles till the clutch was broken in. This sounded crazy to me so I did a little research, After talking with other high performance experts they all said if it was slipping like it was there was a problem with either the installation or the clutch itself was faulty from the factory. None of which Matrix even hinted about! Serious issue #2) Anxious to drive my car I went to start it. I always check fluids on my vehicles & noticed the gauge said it was low on oil. I checked manually and sure enough it was...GET THIS...3 QUARTS LOW!! DOUBLE ***!!!! Also noticed that the lid was NOT LATCHED and would not latch properly (I later learned that this was because MATRIX had reinstalled it improperly and then just left it like that sending me home with an open engine lid flopping up and down.. It caused some damage and needed to be completely removed, fixed and properly reinstalled. I immediately called again regarding the "missing oil" and the lid and their response was nothing more than "oh, sorry!!" Not please bring it back and well fix it, let use compensate you for the mistake, missing oil, damage and labor..NOTHING!!! TRIPLE ***!!!! The clutch just kept slipping and getting worse and worse. After several calls to them and their answer always the same "it should stop anytime now" I finally demanded they look at it and brought it back in. Again NOTHING "everything seems normal" and they sent me away WTFX4..... Ok so now im REALLY beginning to worry about their competence and all the other work too and at this point whats becoming evident and much more important is how the whole thing is being handled.... I have owned several businesses and realize mistakes happen, products sometimes fail and stuff doesn't always go as planned but in my experience and opinion how we handle it is the key to almost every positive ending. So after realizing going to them was getting me nowhere and really didnt want them to do any more work on my car anyway and quite by accident while I was having lunch with my daughter in Lake Grove I found AR AUTO. I told them I was looking for a shop to handle my Porsche. They said Porsche is one of their specialties. Since I had gotten it back for MATRIX It was leaking a oil and running funny (weird because it hadn't been when took it in) AR AUTO took it immediately. got everything fixed quickly and properly at a "less than expected" price. While we were going over everything they mentioned the clutch slipping during their test drive. I had not even mentioned the clutch or the MATRIX ordeal but then explained the whole thing and they assured me there was a problem with the install or the clutch itself and that it should NEVER be slipping like that. Now confirmed by yet another reputable shop I AGAIN called MATRIX if I could bring it in for them to re-do the clutch. They refused saying I could bring it but I would have to pay for It so I had AR do it and during the repair they found that the IMS bearing was also leaking and that was also replaced by MATRIX so yet another serious mistake!! Either that or it just never really got replaced and they just charged me for it. Less than 1000 miles since their repair and all I asked for is a refund for the cost of the re-repair which they refused! I will be suing promptly!! !!!!!!!"BEWARE MATRIX INTEGRATED"!!!!!"

"They were not ready to take the car when I showed up at the appointment time, and seemed too busy and working on cars outdoors. They finished by the end of the day but the trim around the window is not installed correctly leaving gaps between the rubber seal and the glass at the bottom of the sides. They left grey tape stuck to the sides of the windshield to hold the trim down. The glass used seems to be a good quality product. We have not had time to try and deal with the issue."
