"I will start by saying that the work they did waterproofing our basement looks good, and I am hopeful that it has fixed our problem. We've had a good bit of rain recently, and so far, so good. That, of course, is the most important thing. That said, I chose this company, even though they were on the high range of the quotes I received, because I did not mind paying more for a professional experience and great customer service. I was disappointed with this aspect of the experience. The day they were scheduled to begin they never showed up, and I ended up calling them three times that day. The woman in the office was responsive, but she said that they did not know where they were. The next scheduled appointment was for the morning, and they did not end up coming until 2pm, again without any communication. Both instances were due to car issues, but a phone call to keep me updated would have been appreciated to allow me to better plan my day. When they did start the work the crew leader was friendly and appeared to know what he was doing, but he offered little information about the job unless I asked. Prior to the work being done, I also had to keep after the sales representative to put their warranty in writing. Twice he promised to email it to me, and only after contacting him a third time did he send it through. If I had not paid so much (over $11,000) I would have given them another star, but at this price point my expectations were high."

"In July, 2019, our basement flooded for at least the 10th time since my wife and I had lived there. It was awful. It resulted in assistance from ServPro as well as remediation for mold. However, before remediation was performed, ServPro handed me a business card for Sparks Waterproofing. Jody Sparks (owner) came less than a week later for a site inspection of our home, our basement, and the topography of our property. He explained the concept of waterproofing as "water diversion." He took several days to meticulously put a comprehensive waterproofing plan together for us. Upon submitting the plan, he stated, "Your home, including your basement, will NOT flood again if you follow this plan." We hired him. We trusted him. He even assisted my wife with her concerns about some herb gardens and elderberry trees which she hoped he would be able to assist her with hopefully saving during the process. And he and his crew did just that. Over the past several months we have had several hard rains in Lenoir and our basement has been without even a drop of water. But the past 24 hours, when Lenoir received almost four inches of rain, much of it in torrents over a few hours, our home and our basement have not had even a drop of water. My wife and I can never thank Parks Waterproofing, Jody, Amber, and their highly professional crew members enough. I cannot sing their praises adequately. I would recommend Jody without hesitation. He was fair, patient, he listened to our concerns, he took his time in developing a water diversion plan specifically for our home, and his price was beyond just reasonable. "I had Coastal Crawl Space Solutions complete a crawl space encapsulations and found them to provide a high quality product while being very professional. When quoting the work they were timely and competitive. They were not the lowest bid but close enough to look at. Bottom line I went with them because I believed they would do the best job and I was right. First they removed all material from under the house and graded the sand. Next the plastic material was 12 mils (20% thicker then competitors). All piers and walls were covered too within 6 inches of the top ( it is code to stop there) and then a silicon seal applied at the very top. Both the ground and walls were anchored with plastic anchors and all seems were taped. The vents were covered with 3 inch insulation board a and sealed with silicone. The only negative was the job did take a couple weeks from start to finish but that was more to shipping problems. Josh always kept me in formed as to the progress and what/when the next step would be. The crew was alway respectable and understood they were guest in my house. I recommend Coastal Crawl Space to anyone."
