We used all Top of the line Gould Equipment. I probably should call Doug to replace it again because breakdowns with the water system can leave you stranded."

He was much more thorough that he could have been to satisfy my needs. I already had a quote for a much higher amount from Supreme Service Today who has been servicing my home for about three years. Suspecting that Supreme Service Today's quote was very high, I turned to Angi to get competitive bids. Since I had a bid at a much more reasonable price from Alan at One Hour Heating and Air, I contacted Supreme Service Today and asked for a price match. They were willing to match the much lower price from One Hour Heating and Air, so I gave the business to the HVAC contractor that I've been working with for a few years. Good deal! "01/28/2021 I called in the morning and left a voice mail message explaining I needed a main shutoff valve replaced. I received a call back from Vernon about 2 hours later and he asked me when I needed it done; this week or next week. I told him I would rather have it done this week but I could wait until later if necessary. He said he had 3 or 4 jobs scheduled for today and if they all went smooth; he may be able to do it this afternoon if that was ok. I said that would be great if he could. Vernon called me later in the day an said he could do it now if that was ok. He said he would be there as soon as he finished rapping up the job he was on. Vernon was there in a little while and looked over the job and explained what he was going to do. He did an excellent job and cleaned up when he was done. Vernon is pleasant to deal with and did a great job."

"They came out and cleaned the chimney from top to bottom, the technician worked very hard and did a great job. He also informed us that our chimney liner had several cracks and the liner needed to be replaced to be completely safe. I was very happy with their thoroughness and will certainly have them back next year.

"The good: They came on Sunday. The Bad: Bait and Switch -- did not clean the main line (about 20 ft worth of duct) because they wanted another $250 to do 10 minutes worth of work. I opted for $200 for 30 minutes worth of work. The ugly: Angie's List's new format does not allow you to have reasonable expectations about cost and the work to be done. Under the new format, your name goes to all the pros before you can review them, and the reviews do not give cost or other information about the work performed. How do I unsubscribe?"

"Made initial appointment 5 days in advance. On the appointment day, I phoned early afternoon to hear that my repairs had not been scheduled. Plumbers then arrived within the next hour, or so. Fixed leaking valve leading to the main line, and "snaked" bathroom sink. Took photos of tub/shower valves to order a replacement unit and gave an initial price estimate $240). After 10 days, never received a return phone call. Called office to receive a return phone calls explaining that part had not been ordered, and that there was an estimate of $625 to install a new valve unit."
