"I got home after a 12 plus hour day to discover water was leaking in my son's bedroom, and the water heater closet was soaked. I called and asked for help. Joe called me, and he was Awesome! He came right over, although it was late. He is very professional, cheerful, and personable! He managed to lift my very weary spirit while he was working. He figured out the problem right away, drained the tank, gave me an estimate. I will call in the morning to see how quickly the problem can be fixed. I have dealt with the owner in person in the past, Joe reflects the same customer care as his boss. I would recommend Daniels heating and cooling to anyone. Joe was exceptional. "Fernando was great to work with. He arrived for the initial walk through to discuss what we hoped to get done and talked about the different options he could choose from. His estimate was provided the next day and we were given time to review it, ask questions and make our decision within 5 days to receive a discount, which we did. We had friends who had used his company and based on the quality of work we saw at their home, and our initial meeting with Fernando, we didn't even look around or get any other estimates. He was the right choice! <br /> We were able to start work the next week and his crew arrived promptly, began work and accomplished a great deal each day. They were polite and careful, even recovering our escapee dog and returning her. Repair work was done on the parapets the first couple of days, then the base stucco coat was applied and left to dry. Fernando or crew members returned daily during that time to wet down walls and help it cure evenly. Then the top coat was applied and parapet work completed. We were informed each day when the doors or windows would be covered, or if we would need to park elsewhere in order to get in and out of the garage. Fernando kept us informed of the status of the work and what would be done daily throughout the project. He was easy to reach when we had questions or needed to discuss anything, and when we found it hard to find viga covers, he went out of his way to secure them for us. We stayed with the same color stucco and it matched so perfectly that if you hadn't seen the work being done, you would never know....except the home now looks fresh and new, with a high quality finish. We had cracks from aging and patches that had actually fallen off on our south facing exterior. Corners were smoothly done, the front nicho repaired to drain well and the parapet work now brings our home up to current code. The entire project turned out to be a good experience and work was completed in about 14 days with 3 days lost to weather. <br /> We highly recommend FBA Construction and even asked for an estimate for plaster repair work on our viga fireplace inside our home. After discussing what would be involved in that project, we feel confident in having Fernando do our interior work too. <br />"

"We couldn't be more pleased with the fabulous job Karl and his staff did remodeling our home. Our master bedroom and bathrooms now look exactly the way we envisioned it. Karl was helpful with design ideas that made the process easier for us. He was great at responding to any questions, changes, or additions we decided to make along the way... and there were quite a few! "He arrived a bit later than agreed, but the directions to our home were not very comprehensive.  They came from the sales person.  (The salesperson did not give him the directions that we gave to the salesperson.)   <br /> This was a second time they installed insulation on this home.  The first time was a large addition that we made to this home.  This time the installer installed insulation on the original part of the home. <br /> The installer was very professional and polite.  He worked quickly and installed as quoted.  We are extremely pleased with the work, materials, and the price.  I would definitely use them again, and we highly recommend them to anyone who needs insulation.  Everyone from the office staff, the owner, and the installer are extremely kind and professional,  And they quote a good price and do good work. <br />"

"<p>I contacted Academy and another local company to get quotes for replacing my old evaporative cooler with a new high-efficiency unit.  Both Academy and the competitor were A-rated on Angie's List.  Academy Plumbing came in over $800 lower than the other bid.  While I'm not one to always go with the lowest bidder, the difference was a little too much to ignore.  I scheduled an appointment.  </p> <p>They arrived on time and completed the work within the estimate they gave (about 4 hours).  The technician was very professional and answered all my questions.  As part of the job, he removed the old electrical box and replaced the water supply line and sillcock.  All work was of the highest quality.  The Aerocool unit they installed is sturdy and well-made. </p> <p>The one complaint: the tech routed the bleed-off line into a dry vent instead of a sewer vent.  As it turns out, this "vent" went basically nowhere, into a wall cavity.  After half an hour, I noticed water on the carpet in the hallway.  I quickly turned off the unit, rerouted the line and called them back.  In his defense, I live in an older home and there are several "mysteries", so I'm not surprised he mistook the pipe protruding from the roof for a plumbing vent.  He returned promptly, vacuumed up the water and rectified the problem.  He also taped over the vent to prevent rain from getting in.  The upshot of this is that my house now has one less mystery!</p> <p>Overall, I'm very pleased with Academy Plumbing and would recommend them--good work, reasonable price, professional.  When there was a problem, they returned quickly, cleaned everything up and made it right.</p> <br />"
