Rich of Cellar to Attic, while not giving the cheapest bid, gave the most comprehensive one, and we hired him. He taught us his maxim of, "If I can't see it, I can't seal it." We did a bit of demo (which he would have happily done--we saved a bit of money doing it) following his directions. He was great to work with! Easy-going, very reasonable, conscientious about our pets. We had the house tested before and after--Rich's work almost halved the amount of air that was flowing through our house, which was more than we'd hoped! Rich does great quality work at a fair price. "I contacted Patrick Doherty of Happy to Help Home Improvement based on his excellent reviews. When he came out to do the estimate, we knew he was the person we wanted to do the project. His warm personality, knowledge of all the latest trends and materials, and helpful suggestions throughout the project were all key to us. We contacted Patrick to give us an estimate in June with a Fall timeline for the project. In the months leading up to the job, we shopped for tile, flooring, vanity, etc. Patrick met us a few times as we shopped for these items and gave valuable input to help what we visualized come to life. The project took place over three weeks in October. Other than bringing in a plumber for the shower, Patrick did all the work himself. The master bath's previous look was dated and included a 6-foot bathtub which we wanted to replace with a shower. The shower turned out beautifully using porcelain, travertine, and a glass tile accent. Patrick built a custom niche in the back wall with plenty of room for toiletries, and the piece de resistance, a gorgeous corner bench. Along with the meticulously crafted shower, he installed new flooring, vanity with quartz countertop, a highline toilet, as well as painting the room, installing light fixtures, faucets, and bathroom accessories, and a recessed medicine cabinet. (Note: we hired a glass contractor to provide and install a 48-inch shower panel.) During the job, Patrick was very respectful of our living areas and took great care to cover all furniture and lay protection on the floor. He never failed to clean up at the end of the day. We really enjoyed having him around and felt very comfortable with him coming into our home when we were out. We were immensely pleased with the results of Patrick's work and recommend him without hesitation. We're planning to have him back later this year to make over our guest bath."

"On the recommendation of the energy inspector, I was redoing the wall between my garage and house. So I needed it to be air sealed and insulated, and then drywalled. In addition I had them insulate above my garage, to try to help out with heat loss in the winter given that heat wouldn't be leaking into the garage from the house anymore. As usual they did a great job. There were a few days where they had to show up late, but they kept me informed about when they would arrive. They were friendly and kept me informed about what they were doing. I was very happy with the work and have no complaints. I will definitely hire them again for any future insulation / air sealing projects!"

"House is 25 years old.  One of those mass builder neighborhoods using the cheapest items available.  I am the 2nd owner.  Hated the bathroom from the beginning.  Grey (gross) shower insert.  White 6" floor tile.  Cheap vanity and fixtures.  Bath fan from circa whenever. <br /> Andy was a consummate professional.  Responded to my bid request in a timely fashion.  Gave all options available.  Gave me timelines and sources for product.  I wanted average hand holding and got what I wanted.  If I had a question, Andy got back to me immediately and offered suggestions and guidance.  <br /> Andy's crew was professional and friendly.  I work all day and hardly saw them; however, my daughter was greeted by them daily and told me they were were friendly (funny at times) and professional. <br /> When I got home they had cleaned up and, despite a full gut job, there was little mess other than drywall dust. which is to be expected. <br /> Bottom-line, I would definitely recommend Andy and his team to anyone who would ask.  I am so happy with the results.  I have a gorgeous bathroom.  My daughter has her own bath but has moved into mine (got to have a talk).  She treats it like her own personal spa.  Thanks Andy -- look at what I have to deal with now.  :) <br />"
