"When I called I expected there to be a long delay in getting someone out to look at our furnace but they arranged a visit the same day and the tech was right on time. After doing some troubleshooting he determined that the gas valve was not opening and he ordered a part. The tech returned a day or two later and replaced the gas valve and our heat works perfectly now.
I did not call around for other estimates so I don't know for sure if i could have gotten it done cheaper but some of my neighbors have told me that Countryside was more expensive than other service providers. Personally I'd rather pay a little more for professional work and I would absolutely call them again for any heating or plumbing problems.

"Responded quickly to come out and diagnose our furnace that had just died. After speaking with the dispatcher a technician arrived at our house within 30 minutes. Being that it was going to be about 17 degrees that night the technician left us with two space heaters to hold us over until we could get the furnace replaced. "Well, the first time the replacement was ordered it was the wrong one, which of course, delayed the installation a week. When it was finally installed I had to pay an additional $850 for code upgrades. This I was not informed of by Home Shield. Then we noticed that there was water on the garage floor and found that the pipe coming in from the wall was leaking at the wall so had to call the plumbing company back out to fix it. They first tried to say it was not their fault but since there wasn't a leak before they installed they did fix it. I have used Home Shield a few times before and never had a problem. Some of the companies they use are not the best so you have to research them before you commit. I have found HS service to be good if you do your homework. At the end of the day I was without hot water for almost 3 weeks but it was do to the plumbing company they sent out."
