"I have used this company for several different things. This time it was to replace some duct work in my house. Originally they were supposed to replace the chimney liner but when they got inside they realized a bird nest was just causing condensation to run on the outside of my pipe and my liner was actually good. They answered all of my questions and took care of the chimney so that the bird could no longer make a nest. They closed off some of the air gaps in my basement as well. They are always on time and very professional. The woman that does the scheduling is very kind and has great follow through. They always call when they will be late or early. I use them for all of my furnace and air conditioning cleaning as well.

"Called Goff on Wed.  That afternoon I met with them and they had a written proposal ready with several options.  I made my selection and they had an appointment available to replace the furnace and air conditioner that Friday.  Three workers arrived on time and they went to work.  They replaced both units, replaced the old water valve for the humidifier, replaced the thermostat, removed the old equipment, and cleaned up both inside and outside.  The entire operation took about 5-5 1/2 hours.  They exceeded my expectations and it was a quality installation. These guys know what they are doing.

If you go to local computer stores you get very young people that can do a basic job, but are no where near the professional level of Jim.

"Choice was fast, efficient, and kept me posted on the progress of the claim. Although the water leak issue was discovered on a Friday, they had a plumber there to investigate by Saturday morning. When it was determined that the 20+ year old heater needed to be replaced, the replacement ordered, on-site, and installed by Wednesday morning. I am glad that we opted for the Choice Ultimate plan as other than the initial $65 service fee, all but one $50 ancillary expense was covered."

"Well, the first time the replacement was ordered it was the wrong one, which of course, delayed the installation a week. When it was finally installed I had to pay an additional $850 for code upgrades. This I was not informed of by Home Shield. Then we noticed that there was water on the garage floor and found that the pipe coming in from the wall was leaking at the wall so had to call the plumbing company back out to fix it. They first tried to say it was not their fault but since there wasn't a leak before they installed they did fix it. I have used Home Shield a few times before and never had a problem. Some of the companies they use are not the best so you have to research them before you commit. I have found HS service to be good if you do your homework. At the end of the day I was without hot water for almost 3 weeks but it was do to the plumbing company they sent out."
