"Hello, I am requesting assistance from a licensed plumber/gas fitter for gas service restoration at my property: 1239 Maple Ave. Baltimore, MD 21227 BGE has determined that the prior gas service was abandoned and is now processing the project as a new gas service line and exterior meter installation. BGE will be meeting me on-site on Tuesday, June 9, 2026, at 9:00 AM to review and approve the proposed exterior meter location. I need a licensed plumber/gas fitter who can either attend that BGE site visit or come immediately afterward to evaluate the work required on the customer side of the gas system. "I recommend using Heil Plumbing. The plumber, Dave L., arrived promptly, he was professional, and responsive to all my questions. He quickly identified the problem-the toilet needs to be reseated. Unfortunately for me, Dave was unable to complete this project due to circumstances beyond his control. He removed toilet and then removed a rubber spacer that was there off and found a plastic spacer flange that wasn't fastened down and another rubber gasket. He also discovered there are three layers of tile flooring and the flange is way to low. As a result, he could not complete the job. Dave recommended that I replace flooring or have a carpenter raise wood from underneath so the toilet would have support on a new flange. He further recommended replacing shutoff valve that doesn't work for the toilet. Dave spent one hour in my home at most. The investigation and labor without fixing problem cost me $195. Fortunately, I had a vendor coupon from Angie's List which took off $15. So I ultimately paid $180. I'm not sure if that price is reasonable for the area and what actually happened during the visit since the problem didn't get fixed. I'll likely shop this job around to a few more plumbers, but I will probably go with Heil Plumbing again if I can get some credit on the price for the repair based on the investigation and labor that was performed."

"There was something that was in the drain so that when water was going in one direction it would be fine but if there there was something down the disposal it would flip it and the it would have a clog and they cleared that. They were straight forward, they got the job done proficiently and professionally."
