"Had trouble with my Waist Pump that pumps any water we use into the tank in the basement. When it fills up the pump starts up and pumps it into the Sewer. The Pump or Check Valve failed and a mess in the basement. Bill came Friday night but to late to do anything and get parts. He came back Saturday and put in a new Pump check Valve and everything is up and running the way it should be. Next will be our Hot Water Heated and I will call then again for sure."

"Well they lost their plow. So superwoman Tasha put on her cape and grabbed a dude and a snowblower, loaded up her truck and off she went. She went to great lengths to honor the contract and get the snow removed. Looks just as good as a plow. Hand laid the promised salt. Took them a while, but understandable back breaking labor. Assurances of a plow in the future. Would recommend and use again. Despite all odds they got it done."

"Derek showed up on time and was very courteous.  He was very neat and organized and did not create a mess during his work or leave a mess after he was completed.  Derek installed my solar powered fan and ensure it was operational. I was very impressed how he made sure to read the instructions several times before he started the work . He made suggestions on placement and told me that if the fan leaked during ran or was not working to make sure I call him back to adjust.
For the gutters he was very quick and ensured all gutters were cleaned of debris/dirt, etc.  ( It appeared I had some work done on my chimney and it clogged some of the gutters but we ensured he removed all the build up.  He also made sure all the downspouts were also free of debris.
I would highly recommend OddJobsRI for any handyman services, and he will definitely be the person I call again in the future.

"Shoreline did a great job. Norbert was a knowledgeable and helpful partner in solving our water problem. He stuck to his quotation and got the job done right. Our location has two basements. These basements have been flooding for years. Shoreline installed a perimeter drain and two sump pumps. One for backup. It didn't take long to test the system with the saturated soil and recent hard rainstorms. The perimeter system and sump pumps are performing well Water problem: Solved. I would use them again."

"I contacted J Perry in November 2014 to get an estimate.  Marshall, a very nice older man, came out and measured and gave got the estimate for the job which was $3852.  We decided to do the job in the spring.  I called in April, signed a contract with Joe Perry on April 20, and gave a 50 % deposit on the job, which is what they require.  I was surprised that they would not be available until early June, but because they had good ratings on Angie's List, I was willing to wait.
They were right on schedule when they estimated they would be able to do the job, and came on June 12.  Though I was not home, when they arrived, my adult son told me they showed up around 10:30 with a crew of 4-5 men.  It was a hot, sunny day, but they worked very hard with a variety of trucks and heavy machinery to dig out the old driveway and concrete apron, and put down the new layers of asphalt.   The work crew was very diligent and hard working and they were at my house until about 7:30 pm.  The driveway turned out great and I was very pleased with the work.  I was also very impressed with the finishing touches they did, grading the soil bordering the edge of the driveway by hand with a rake, and cleaning up thoroughly on the street, sweeping up dirt and asphalt debris and using blowers to blow the dust away.
When the job was all done, Joe Perry explained a few things about future seal coating, and took the final payment for the job, which I paid by personal check.
If I had to give a grade to the total job, it would be an A-.  There are only two minor things that in hindsight would have moved their grade to a solid A or A+.  One of the sprinkler heads in the grass right next to the driveway they installed was left a bit high, and had I not intervened would have probably been damaged or sheared off by a lawnmower.  I was able to lower the sprinkler head afterwards when I put some sod in next to the driveway, so that was not a big deal.  The other minor concern was that they had to take apart part of a low retaining wall next to the driveway to remove a section of the concrete apron with their machines.  When they put the wall back, it was a little crooked, and they left a scrape on the edge of the top finished stone.  They also did not re-glue the top stones with adhesive  to the cinder blocks.  I was able to adjust the stones so it looks better, but the top stones are still not glued down.  This is a minor issue, but I thought it worth mentioning to be thorough.
Overall, however, I was very happy with the quality of the job, and I would enthusiastically recommend J Perry to anyone who needs a new driveway or other similar paving jobs.

FAQs for water or fuel tank remove projects in Providence, RI

There are several reasons why you might need to remove an oil tank. In some areas, local regulations require tanks to be removed after a certain period. Leaking tanks can pose hazards to drinking water and the environment. Plus, many municipalities won't allow property sales until an inspection confirms the oil tank is safe.

One option for disposing of an oil tank is to have your removal pro take it to a dismantling yard or salvage yard for recycling. If a salvage yard isn’t an option, you can contact a local landfill or a local oil tank removal service for help finding a proper disposal location for your tank. Typically, you’ll need to show there’s no sludge or residue in the tank.

A leaking oil tank reveals itself through increased energy bills and a noticeable oily sheen on water surfaces, which signals a malfunction. You may also experience strong oil odors and observe stained grass and deteriorating vegetation near your property. These clear warning signs demand immediate professional evaluation to protect the environment and secure your property’s safety.

Yes, states mandate soil testing during oil tank removal to detect hazardous pollutants that harm the environment. This testing confirms that no soil contamination exists. Certified specialists collect soil samples to meet regulatory requirements and ensure property safety. Conducting these tests protects water quality and the structure’s integrity while immediately triggering any necessary remediation measures.
