"They were remarkable. First, they excavated the minimum needed to repair our drain and install the CIPP liner. They saved our front cement and brick staircase (directly over the main house sewer line). They only removed one section of the sidewalk that was over the main house sewer line. When done, they filled and compacted the dirt, covered the lawn with straw (i.e., ready for me to add seed and to avoid erosion) and replaced the damaged sidewalk section. The workers were polite and respectful of both us and our property. There was truly minimal disruption to the household. We could not flush toilets or run water down the drains for about 3 hours each day they worked on the line. We contracted for repair of the pipe that was on our property. They completed this work in two days. We then added re-lining the pipe under the road to the county connection. The team added people for and worked late on the second day. Job done on day 3. The job took 3 days (as promised)."

"We are in the process of selling our home and the company who inspected my well and pump system claimed I had a short and need to make a $3000 repair. PNH came out and tested my system and could not find anything wrong with it, saving me time and money on a repair that was not needed. I highly recommend him and would use him n the future if we were not moving."

"There were issues like a portion of pipe under the sink that needed fixed as well as re-doing some of the valving that was leaking water. The guys also didn't have part with them and had to go out and purchase what they needed to do the job correctly. They also had some issue with reverse osmosis system due to the complicated set up. However they figured it out and the job was done in about 4 hours. They were very professional and cleaned up. Even helped put things back under the kitchen sink that had to be removed so that they could install the RO system and do the other plumbing work."

"A plumber came to my home and said he could not clear the blockage and that I needed to replace part of my main sewer line. I called ECR to get a quote for this job. Jeremy called me back and came out less than 2 hours later. He offered to try and clear the blockage and said if he was unable to, then there would be no charge. He then looked around my yard and found a cleanout under my house. Three plumbers had previously told me that I didn't have a cleanout by the house and that it would cost $1500-$2200 to install one. Next, Jeremy went to work on the blockage and he cleared it out! He located the area of the block and told me that I would only need to replace a small section, about a fourth of what I was told. I was quoted $3600-$4500 to install a new sewer line section and Jeremy charged me less than half of what I had previously paid to clear a blockage. I will probably still need to replace part of my main sewer line, but now I have some time to make the plans, and needless to say, ECR will be the ones I call. Jeremy was professional, polite, hard-working and he got the job done. His assistant was just as good. A nightmare turned into something I can manage, thanks to ECR. They rock!!! I have dealt with three other plumbers and my experiences were one was okay but unable to do the job, one was late and unable to do the job, and one charged me more than 3 times what I paid ECR. If you need a plumber, then call ECR for good service, honest advice, and a reasonable price. Ask for Jeremy! Thanks!!!😀"

"Graves did great.  I had specific work that I wanted to have done and he fixed the flush valve and a knock in the pipes (the knock in the pipes was the pressure valve).  I also had a leaky shutoff valve that he fixed as well."

FAQs for septic system repair projects in Bealeton, VA

You should have your septic tank inspected at least once every one to three years. Regular inspections help catch minor issues before they become major problems, ensuring your system operates efficiently and extends its lifespan. You can also have your pro take care of routine septic system maintenance tasks at the same time as your inspection.

A septic tank must be inspected before buying a home to ensure the system is sound and compliant with local regulations. A comprehensive inspection evaluates all critical components and detects hidden faults that could lead to expensive repairs. This detailed review protects your investment by verifying the system’s integrity and reliability.

A septic tank's leach field fails when it encounters system overload and deteriorating conditions. Excess water usage beyond the field’s capacity and environmental stress lead to hydraulic failure. Aging infrastructure and insufficient maintenance further contribute to failure. Distributing water use evenly and scheduling regular maintenance, including enzyme treatments when necessary, preserve the leach field’s integrity.

A septic system lasts between 20 and 30 years. Steel tanks function for 15 to 20 years, concrete tanks operate for 20 to 40 years, and fiberglass or plastic tanks remain durable for 30 to 40 years. Consistent maintenance, including regular pumping and inspections, extends these lifespans by preventing buildup and structural damage, ensuring reliable long-term performance.

A failing septic system presents clear signs such as slow-draining fixtures, foul odors at or around the leach field, and overly green patches of grass. Additional indicators include persistent toilet flushing problems, standing water near the system, and noticeable gurgling noises from pipes. These symptoms reveal blockages, structural damage, or leaks. Immediate professional evaluation is essential to address these issues and prevent extensive repair costs.
