He ended coming to my house to check it out, and gave me options that he carefully explained. I chose the heat pump, and the next day he and his crew were here to install it. I have never had technicians do such an incredibly clean job. He spent 30 minutes when finished to carefully explain everything and to answer my questions. He then called to check up on me two days later. If you want a job done thoroughly and honestly, Dave from Dr. Air and Heat is your man. "

They provided same-day service (at end of June!) when the largest AC Service provider (you would recognize their name) could not schedule an appointment less than 10 days out. On top of that, Prime AC ended up replacing a 2.5 year old system which the "largest AC Service provider" installed previously which had a 1-year labor warranty. Watch out for those 1-year labor warranties, because it means the provider has no confidence in what they are installing! Prime AC recommended a solution to address the specific needs of my problem with a ten-year warranty, parts AND LABOR! They were very thorough with the install and the system works great. I would recommend this company to anyone experiencing AC issues. They are honest, hard-working, and reasonable...nice to see that still exists in some AC companies."

"Excellent. I can't say enough about how pleased I am with Southern Air Mechancial LLC for my Air conditioning service needs. Out of habit, I had been using another vendor who recently told me in the last 10 days that my unit was oversized for my duct work, that it was going to take 6 hours to fix it, and was about to sell me a part with installation and labor that would have cost $1400. The tech said it would break in a year and the owner basically tried to sell me a new AC unit. Got a little suspicious after asking if my unit could be adjusted since it was a variable speed down to a 3 ton and the owner said, "well, let me send my tech again". I called Southern Air and spoke to Clint, the owner. I had purchased the unit 7 years ago and without hesitation, Clint visited with his technician, and replaced the part that was a known problem with my manufacturer. He warrantied the part and was back out in two days and had the system cooling within 2 hours. I will only use Southern Air Mechanical and now know how trustworthy they are and what excellent service they provide. You can't and will not go wrong by choosing Southern Air Mechanical for your AC needs."

"They did a good job, but charged $195 for a $60 dollar part, plus the $70 trip fee. They did provide the 10% Angie's list discount. Total cost $256 to replace the part. Professional people and he did wash both units to remove grass build up which was very nice. Very high price."

"First of all, I found them as a "Big Deal" last year, to come out and check out my A/C unit. They were very professional. They discovered a small freon leak, added some parts, and freon, and went on their way. I was impressed, wrote a nice review, and even recommended them to my son, and his wife, who used them to check out the A/C at their new(to them) house, recently. <br /> Well, before I could call them out for this year's check, my unit stopped blowing cold air. When they came out, it was discovered that the leak had gotten much worse, and given the cost of adding more of the old style freon(the unit was over 20 years old), I decided to replace the unit. They showed me it would be more efficient, for my heating, if I also went with a heat pump, so I opted for that, as well. The installers were there two days later, and quickly installed both the inside, and outside units. Now after they left, I discovered a water leak. The inside unit sits right over my bathtub, and it was dripping, fairly significantly. The first attempt to fix it didn't work, so Larry and his man came out, quickly discovered the real problem, which was a blocked condensate tube, and fixed it. While they were here, they also discovered that when the unit shut off, there was an odd grinding noise, which I'd noticed, but hadn't thought much about. They made an adjustment to the fan, and voila, no noise. Of course, there was no charge for this visit, and they even waived the original service call fee. In addition, the new unit included a programmable thermostat. <br /> Overall, I'm very impressed with Larry, and his company, and will continue to recommend them wherever possible. They are knowledgable, professional, do quality work, and when something does go wrong, they fix it as soon as possible. For any service company, it doesn't get any better than that. <br />"
