"The day before Chrismas Eve our furnace went out. Have had other problems with my furnace so we decided to replace it. I called four other contractors and they all said they could get to me sometime after the first because of the holiday. I have a three year old and I need heat. Dixon was the only one who would come replace my furnace on Christmas Eve. Holiday or not people need heat. He gave us a very good price and was very efficient. "Technician came to the house and analyzed the problem. It was determined that the cost of repair was over the allowable Choice Home Warranty limit and it should be replaced. Choice Home Warranty issued their replacement cost. This cost was unacceptable and I challenged their figure. After some negotiation I was offered an increased settlement amount. I still balked at their offer but I was told to take it or repair my old microwave. I finally accepted their amount, even though it is still well below what it will cost me to replace the unit. I might add that the existing microwave has the convection feature and I want to replace with same features. The cost that I will receive also does not include any removal, disposal or installation costs. At this time I am debating whether I will continue with Choice Home Warranty or consider other options."
