"Having cooling issue with 2nd floor central air unit on one of the hottest days in recent memory . Called prestige early AM and they responded with service tech within the hour. He quickly diagnosed problem and made recommendations, one of which was to replace current equipment with new equipment. This sounded extreme but after he fully explained the situation we decided to follow thru on his recommendation. A sales rep from Prestige was on site in less than 2 hours and provided a proposal to replace current unit , which was accepted . The following day 5 workers showed up completed the removal of old unit replaced with new unit in less than a day. All 5 workers were polite and did their jobs efficiently. By 1 PM that day, 24 hours after accepting their proposal , the 2nd floor was being cooled by a brand new AC system on another very hot day."

"Contractor Recommendation: Norfolk County Heating & Cooling Our 1895 refurbished Victorian's 3rd-floor mini split unit needed repair. Leaking lines were replaced. A chemical reaction between the copper line and wrapped insulation caused pinhole leaks in the line set. Manufacturers recalled that the warranty had expired and the unit was cooling poorly. Four contractors were contacted for estimates. Owner Patrick and project supervisor Renato excelled. They quickly listened and explained the problem, process challenges, and possible solutions. The price given was accurate and a fraction of the others I received. That worried me until it became clear the other contractors had quoted outrageous pricesâ either their company was understaffed and didn't want the small project or thought the customer was ignorant. The other contractors pressured us to upgrade from line replacement to system overhaul. One refused to provide an itemized breakdown of the FIVE times Norfolk H&C estimate but continued contacting me to finalize the sale without changing the price or explanation. Renato visited the day before the appointment to take additional photographs and check his materials. On replacement/installation day, Renato and his assistant were punctual and polite, knocked and asked permission before entering the property, and were great to our small dog. They avoided disturbing a newly planted lawn and cleaned the house and area. Renato showed me the finished project, how he installed it, what he replaced, and its system testing. "they initially quoted $89 for AC diagnostics which is reasonable even though most companies charge nothing. Technician is very friendly and knowledgeable and walked me through the process. he checked the compressor outside and he suspected a leak. and then wanted to check the coil inside the blower. he detected a small leak with the electronic device. he mentioned coil may need replacement. After spending 10 mins in his truck to call the company he came back and said coil is not covered with warranty and quoted $5,400 to replace the coil and it is backordered for 6 weeks. 6 week will brings us to mid August so i told him i dont want to sign up for repair and wait 6 weeks. he then tried to sell me a maintenance plan which i declined. Then he said he will charge for the diagnostics which he spent total 30 mins including talking on the phone for warranty coverage. he said he did more than basic diagnostics which is $149. when he handed me the payment he added up initial $89 and $149 to pay $238 for 30 mins diagnostics. Total scam. i dont even know if they do any real work beyond the charging $238 for 30 mins diagnostics. probably they will hire a separate contractor to do the job and keep selling overpriced diagnostics and maintenance plans. They all you 10 times to sell you the initial diagnostics but after you pay $238 not even a single call to ask about experience. worst ever."
