"Very happy with my experience so far. Goldenaire called back quickly to schedule an estimate, then the owner (Ken Golden) came out personally the next morning and provided a detailed, written estimate with different options to help make things more affordable. He was also very willing and open to answering my questions. (One of the other companies that gave me an estimate just scribbled a few notes down on a piece of paper and seemed reluctant to discuss details or answer questions).
Two days after I gave the go-ahead, the Goldenaire crew was at my door for the installation (at exactly the promised time -- 7 am!). Job was done by around 3 pm. The lead installer Kenny was very courteous and professional. I believe he's the owner's son, and I'm hoping he takes over the business eventually as I would definitely hire him again in the future. Speaking of which, this company included 5 years of labor as part of the system warranty. (The other companies that submitted estimates only included a year of labor).
I won't know how well the system works until this summer, but will update this review if anything about my experience changes.

"I reviewed several HVAC companies on Angies List and based on the number of reviews and content of the reviews I selected Brower Mechanical. The technicians arrived within the time window provided by the service dept. They called 15 minutes prior to arrival. I received a friendly greeting and handshake by both techs. They listened patiently while I provided a brief history of the unit, age and previous troubles/problems. They seemed appreciative of the information and went about their business. After completing the unit inspection and service they inspected the ducts and found four that, in their opinion, need replacing. I have been in the attic before and their inspection confirmed what I had seen earlier. We discussed a recurring problem I have had with the inducer vacuum nipple becoming plugged. The technician made some suggestions that could be implemented when and if I decide to replace a noisy inducer motor.
At this time I have made an appointment to have the four ducts replaced. While making this appointment I mentioned how satisfied I was with the technician that performed the inspection/service and was asked if I would like to have this technician assigned for future service visits. I, of course jumped at the idea. I find this action very refreshing and a legitimate sign/trait of a company that is focused on complete customer satisfaction.

"For the most part we are satisfied with the purchase. There were some hiccups with the installation that kept us from being completely satisfied. If there was better communication with the install process it would be helpful. HVAC is a large purchase with little to show for it because its in the basement or attic so the better informed you are will make it more comfortable. Otherwise we got the feeling they can just hide any of the problems they encountered because the customer wont see it anyway."

"Of the five businesses I contacted for estimates, I thought the Bonney installer gave me the most honest up-front estimate (although it was also the highest estimate). Some of the businesses would only give me over-the-phone low-ball estimates that were obviously just for the water heater itself, neglecting to mention the extra components that would be needed such as valves, strappings, expansion tank, and an electrical disconnect box, all required for the City permit. And only a couple of businesses, even one who came to the house, bothered to mention the required City permit. The Bonney installer showed up on time with all the required equipment. He removed the old tank and components, prepped the area for the new components, and completed the installation in about five hours. He also cleaned the area thoroughly when he was finished. Overall, I'm very satisfied with the results. It passed the City inspection. And I also think I got a better quality water heater brand which isn't available online or at discount big-box stores."

"I met Jesse (owner) at the Auburn home. After setting an appt., he showed up on time as promised (can t say that for a lot of other companies). We reviewed what I wanted done which I appreciated because I ve had others suggest what they wanted done instead. He physically went up into my attic to access my old and inefficient insulation, including video recording it. He also spent time looking at my old windows (1980 s style) that I was also looking to replace. Jesse came up with the cost which was thousands of dollars cheaper then the several other estimates I have received. After agreeing on moving forward, Jesse played an active part in the entire project. He even provided me with his cellular number and always got back to me when any questions arose. The workers who came to install the insulation were very friendly and professional (I continuously talked to them, probably annoyingly). They took their time to assure that everything was done as promised and I even double checked their work. The next part of the project included a new slider and several windows. Jesse was on scene throughout the window installation and the final product was fabulous. Craftsmanship was impeccable and the windows and slider look great. Even after the project was complete, Jesse has contacted me to assure full satisfaction was met. I would recommend Clear Efficiency to anyone."

"I would recommend Elite Heating and Air Conditioning to anybody needing service on their unit. The owner answered our call and he was extremely friendly, professional, and prompt. My repair cost was more than fair at only just over $100. (labor and parts) I will definitely call him when I need to replace my 1986 air conditioner, but for now he has it running perfectly."
