"SC Insulation did an awesome job of upgrading our insulation. Paul was able to get us scheduled before the big snow storm and freezing temps. Their customer service was excellent in answering all our questions too. "

"Excellent work. Our house was mostly built circa 1930, at least half had no wall insulation, and it has aluminum siding. Angie's list sent me 3 possible companies from which I selected two. RetroFoam wasn't even on the list I was sent but they called and was the only company from Angie's that was interested. They planned on four days to perform the job, arrived when they said, did excellent work, cleaned up well, and finished ahead of schedule even worked through the cold drizzly September weather we had. They removed and reinstalled the siding and it does not look like it was ever disturbed. I was a little leery about foam, but their product has no chemical smell, won't shrink, won't expand and bow your walls, has a transferable lifetime warranty, and is supposed to be easy to run wiring through. We definitely recommend them."

"Lou with Buckeye Wildlife was professional and very personable. We had the company out to clean out an attic in a 1959 home. The attic had been used for storage over the years and had old insulation that needed to be removed. Lou and his team removed all the trash and the old insulation. The attic is now "spotless" and ready for new insulation. I would highly recommend this company. They were thorough, and the price was very reasonable for the amount of work they did."

"Great- noticed improvement in warmth right away. Good experience getting an estimate, able to schedule 2 weeks later. One of the crew gave me an in-depth report of what hebfound and what he did to correct the lack of insulation in an entire section."

"The team showed up on time, and insulated/air-sealed throughout the day. I was busy that day, and was not able to fully inspect until after the work had been completed. Afterwards, I noticed several things: 1) Two can lights that were not insulation-contact rated had had foam insulation applied directly to them, and were buried in blown in insulation, creating a fire hazard. 2) Four holes had to be cut into the wall for the insulation to be blown in. There were significant pencil markings left around the holes that were not covered by the panels they installed to cover the holes. 3) In one of the access holes, a piece of drywall was broken off of the bottom of the access hole No attempt was made to repair this broken drywall; the access panel was simply installed flush with the baseboard, several inches down from the originally intended position, in an attempt to hide the error. We were not informed this had occurred. 4) On a different access hole, some drywall patching was done because the edge of the hole was damaged, but the resulting drywall patch was not even/flat. 5) A few of the spaces between joists that should have been air-sealed were skipped. 6) We were charged with the installation of fiberglass bats on the verticals of the kneewalls. Because there previously were no access panels, it had not been clear how much insulation, if any, was on the verticals of the kneewalls. Once the access panels were cut, it was clear that there were fiberglass bats already in place in those locations. The installers did not install additional insulation on the verticals, but we were still charged for insulating the verticals of the kneewalls despite no work being done for this line item. 7) One of the installers left several personal effects at our house. We raised these issues with Energy Tech, and they rescheduled a time to come back out and address the issues from the first time around. I was glad that they were willing to admit that they had made mistakes, and make an effort to correct them, but it was still frustrating that so many issues had occurred, and that the work was not done right the first time. When they came back out, they did their best to address most of the items listed above, except for the drywall issues which they did not address. Afterwards, I contacted them multiple times about the drywall, to no avail. I proposed a solution to the drywall issues that they rejected, and they did not offer any alternative solutions to the drywall issues despite repeated attempts on my part to get in contact with them."

"The insulation was more than it needed to be (R60) and the structure to keep the insulation from falling out of hatch was made out of foam board (cheap and fell apart). In addition, there is still NO air-flow in our attic and the baffles were poorly constructed. I feel like we were taken advantage of and now have to hire someone to come back out and fix the air-flow issue."

"Brian Carter was recommended by my contractor. He came out, spent a lot of time, looked everything over including the attic and said I did not need additional insulation; all the insulation and everything I had was more than adequate. In fact, I was quite pleased. He could have said that I needed certain things to be done, and I would have done it. He was very honest, and I appreciated that. His responsiveness was great. I called him, and he was on a job, so he gave me his email address and asked me to email him. He told me that he would get back with me, so I emailed him all the information. He called the next day, set up an appointment and was out a couple of days after that. He was very professional and was here when he said he was going to be here. I would recommend him to others. If I thought that I needed him again, I would have him come out."

"Had the whole house insulated in 2016. Just found out that there is now mold in the attic. Have had three different contractors come to look at it and ALL have said the reason is because when the insulation was blown into the attic they did not take the time to rake it away from the soffits. Now I'm faced with a major repair bill of $3000 to eliminate the mold. Plus, to make matters worse, my utility bill did not go down very much after having this done. Only thing I can say is that the house is more comfortable. So beware if you use this company and make sure they install the insulation into your attic correctly!"

"From beginning to end, Greene Solutions did an awesome job!  After I had a recent home energy audit conducted through Columbia Gas, I had four local companies out for an estimate.  Tom Greene was by far the most thorough and detailed of the four representatives that provided me with estimates.  He answered any and all questions that I had during and after the estimate. Duck, T2 (Thomas), Pearse, and J came to do the work and did a great job!  They communicated with me throughout the process and went about things very professionally.  They did quite a lot and was very efficient in getting their work done. --Added R60 insulation to the attic. --Installed all new baffles at the soffit vents. --Weatherized attic access to R38, weather stripped, and caulked. --Air sealed over the garage and pipes, gaps, and holes. --Replaced the fiberglass insulation in the basement rim joists and sprayed foam to seal up. My wife and I are considering other work in the  future at our house and will definitely use Greene Solutions again."

"As promised. Angie's List offered a deal on a new roof for $3995. It included the removal of one layer of old roofing. I called Superior Home and Mark Jordan gave me a price for removing 2 old layers and the price of upgrading to a better shingle. By the end of the day a proposal was emailed to me. I purchased the deal. Once work began it was determined that some roof decking had to be replaced too. Samples of shingles were delivered, then more a few days later. A color was selected and we were put on the calendar for the following week. The job took one day to complete! Materials arrived the afternoon before. I left the house early on installation day and returned early afternoon. A whole crew of people were working on the roof. Yes, it was messy and noisy. The job was completed before 5. The landscape was swept for nails and debris removed and everything returned to normal. The day after it rained buckets and I walked around upstairs looking for leaks. All was well. The following week Mark Jordan returned. We walked around the house, Mark looking for nails and trouble. He answered my questions. I paid the balance due. The process unfolded smoothly. Communications were great. The roof looks great. And, I actually think the old roof's moans and groans have gone."
