Customers say: Terrific value

"My central A/C failed during this heat wave. After numerous calls to companies having to leave messages, not answering the phone, having to wait two weeks for service or companies not taking new customers, I finally found Rodney owner of RJP HVAC. He answered the phone himself, and told me he could be at my house in two hours! I received a text when he was on his way and promptly arrived. He quickly diagnosed the problem, explained what he could do to fix it and gave me a price which was surprisingly reasonable. I gave him the go ahead and he fixed the issue within the hour. He is very friendly and professional. I highly recommend him and will call him for all my HVAC needs going forward."

"5.0 for customer service. A little less than a 24 hr. turn around time to get job done. 4.0 for work quality. Quality of work looks to be worthy of a 5.0. But it will take some time to see if repair is sustainable over an extended period of time. 4.0 for value for money instead of 5.0 because I have nothing to compare it to. However, based on the explanations of the cost of the project by Paul & Nathan, Rooterman technicians, I believe that the cost was most likely in line/or better than what the cost would be with any other company. FAQs for heat pump repair or service projects in Bradford, RI

Heat pumps move air to cool or warm your home during different seasons. In cold weather, they extract heat from the outdoors and bring it inside to warm your home. In warm weather, they remove heat from your home to keep it cool. This efficient heat transfer increases indoor comfort, improves energy efficiency, and reduces the need for additional heating systems.

Replacing a heat pump costs between $4,200 and $7,900. The actual cost depends on the type of heat pump. Geothermal models are the most expensive to replace, with the price of the unit plus labor ranging between $6,000 and $20,000. Air source models cost between $4,500 and $8,000 to replace, while the replacement costs for a mini split unit run between $1,300 and $8,000.

The average heat pump is designed to last about 14 years, roughly the same as a central air conditioning system (12 to 15 years). Newer models can last 20 years or more. How long your heat pump lasts depends on how frequently you use it and whether you perform routine maintenance like annual tuneups.
