"Advanced Mechanical Services (AMS) went out of their way to get our new oil tank installed and the old one removed in the winter. We were experiencing issues with our old tank where our oil company could not fill the old tank. AMS worked closely with us to install the new tank quickly. They kept us in the loop and were on time on installation day. The installers were professional, kept us informed and did an excellent job. In addition, they cleaned up after themselves. We also use them for our annual furnace cleaning. They always do a great job and have come out on emergency calls a few times over the past 25 (or more) years. I highly recommend them."

"Joe and his crew did an excellent job installing new boiler and indirect hot water system. I made the decision to convert to gas and replace my 21 year old oil fired boiler. Everything went along smoothly and professionally. Joe kept me informed every step of the process and job was completed on time. I would definitely recommend."

"R&E Heating did an amazing job when they replaced my oil tank. I got four quotes and each of the other places wanted to demolish my wall to do the job. R&E gave me the option of using a different style oil tank that was the same capacity but had a smaller footprint. It also had a much better rating. The tank itself was more expensive, but the total quote was LESS than anyone else! Two men arrived on time and spent all day doing the job but did not have to do any demolition of my walls or a tub sink I have downstairs. It seems the other companies wanted to just tear out the wall (or remove the sink, which was another option I was given) so they could get the job done quickly and be on their way to the next job. R&E took the time to do the job right, even though it was labor intensive. They have great pride in their workmanship. The city came to look at the work and also proclaimed what a nice job they had done, so itâ s not just me!"

"I recently had a central AC system installed in an old Cape Cod style home. Solvit provided several options on what types of systems were viable and had an engineer stop by to assess the layout during the sales process. From the very first phone call to the final acceptance of the project, the Solvit team was exceptional. I received 3 quotes for the project and Solvit's price was in the middle. The installation team was onsite for three days. Each team member was professional, courteous, and a pleasure to interact with. I won't hesitate to use Solvit again for future projects. Great job team!"

"The representative came on time and listened carefully to my thoughts of a split ductless system. He suggested full house central air and showed me how it could be done, have ducts i stalled and cost less than a ductless system. His experience of over 20 years as a technician as well gave me a lot of confidence. He made a general proposal and came back in a few days for my convenience and I signed the contract. The duct crew finished in one day and were careful, explained things and left no mess. Then the ac was installed and tested in one day. Again polite, clearly communicated. Once the system started up late spring I am so glad I did this! No more noise from room ac, no shutting doors to keep one room cool. The humidity is normal and makes a huge positive difference. I highly recommend HARP. I switched my heating system to them as well after my experience with the AC i stall. Thank you HARP!"

FAQs for central humidifier installation and replacement projects in Burlington, CT

A crawl space dehumidifier is a worthwhile investment, particularly in humid climates or if you've noticed musty odors, mold growth, or wood deterioration. Though costs range from $3,000 to $9,200, this investment helps prevent structural damage that could require far more expensive repairs later. Beyond structural protection, a properly dehumidified crawl space contributes to better overall indoor air quality and may reduce allergens throughout your home. Consider having a professional assessment to determine if your specific situation warrants this investment.

Addressing crawl space moisture effectively often requires a combination of solutions. A complete approach includes encapsulation plus dehumidifier installation. For minor moisture issues, a basic dehumidifier starting at $1,500 may suffice, while severe problems in larger spaces could require systems costing up to $14,000. The most effective moisture control strategy depends on your specific conditions, making a professional assessment valuable for determining the most cost-effective approach for your situation.

For a crawl space measuring 1,500 square feet, you'll need a dehumidifier with a daily capacity of 30 to 50 pints, with unit costs ranging from $150 to $600. Your local climate and existing moisture levels may necessitate adjusting this capacity—homes in particularly humid regions might benefit from higher-capacity units. Professional installers can measure your specific humidity conditions and recommend equipment that is appropriately sized, balancing initial cost with operating efficiency for your unique situation.

Crawl space dehumidifiers add $300 to $500 to your annual electricity expenses when operating continuously. Energy-efficient models reduce this consumption by roughly 15 to 30% compared to standard units. Most contemporary dehumidifiers feature humidity sensors that automatically cycle operation based on current conditions, helping manage energy usage. Proper crawl space encapsulation significantly improves efficiency by creating a controlled environment that requires less dehumidifier runtime, thereby reducing ongoing electricity costs.
