We were in a no-heat situation during cold weather and he was able to move things around and get to us within a few hours. During the diagnostic, he insisted I was present as he walked me through what he was testing and what the expected results would be. There was full transparency. Once the issue was diagnosed, Riley offered different options to solve the issue. There was no sales pressure, he wanted to find the right option for us. Given the age and condition of our system we opted for a new HVAC system and Riley presented us with different solutions, again with no pressure. The installation was scheduled quickly and I was amazed with the quality of the workmanship and service he offered. When it was determined that the 20+ year old heater needed to be replaced, the replacement ordered, on-site, and installed by Wednesday morning. I am glad that we opted for the Choice Ultimate plan as other than the initial $65 service fee, all but one $50 ancillary expense was covered."

"Well, the first time the replacement was ordered it was the wrong one, which of course, delayed the installation a week. When it was finally installed I had to pay an additional $850 for code upgrades. This I was not informed of by Home Shield. Then we noticed that there was water on the garage floor and found that the pipe coming in from the wall was leaking at the wall so had to call the plumbing company back out to fix it. They first tried to say it was not their fault but since there wasn't a leak before they installed they did fix it. I have used Home Shield a few times before and never had a problem. Some of the companies they use are not the best so you have to research them before you commit. I have found HS service to be good if you do your homework. At the end of the day I was without hot water for almost 3 weeks but it was do to the plumbing company they sent out."
