"Working with Higgins Construction was a great experience for our family. If questions or concerns arose throughout the project we were able to discuss those things and come to a remedy to correct the question or concern. The crew of people that they have working for them and the subcontractors they brought in were all professional and courteous. They are very fair on their pricing and when they discovered some things that would help with insulation on our home or structural issues in our soffits - they immediately had a clear explanation for their suggestion and price for that to be fixed. Our project consisted of the following: Roof, chimney rebuilt from roofline up, new garage door, siding, shutters, cupola, soffits/facia/gutters, cedar posts on porch, lighting in soffits above the garage door."

"To help us meet our budgetary goals on this project, he worked with us on a custom design with IKEA cabinets and several of our own purchased appliances. He oversaw several subcontractors including ceiling work, framing/structural work, installation of ceramic tile, plumbing. I brought in my own HVAC subcontractor. He did electrical work and finish carpentry. He and his twin brother did the IKEA cabinet mounting and base cabinet framing with an eye to precision and accuracy; he also framed out our pantry project to a high level of finish and recommended dimensions for pantry doors for a good final design. He was quick to fix a couple of minor edits (outlet placement, drawer functionality with base cabinet infrastructure) to ensure we were happy with the final results. He showed a strong aesthetic eye for the finish, providing important suggestions, and volunteering extra touches that made the kitchen look cohesive. "Service was friendly, knowledgeable and professional. They provided a estimate and approximate day the door would be ready. It was ready on time. A day later there was a small issue with the sealing caulk but they took care of it right away as the shop is on premises, with an apology for the inconvenience. Fireplace glass is not their main business, but they were very knowledgeable and helpful regarding glass repair options for my job. Would definitely use these folks again."

"Excellent work. We purchased natural cherry cabinets in shaker style, with the panels made of solid wood rather than veneer. That is more difficult work, as each panel has to be constructed from several planks. Moreover, the clear finish would leave any flaws more visible. Simply put, the doors are beautiful--flawless in both construction and finish. They are similar in quality to custom cherry furniture we own."

"The shelves were installed well.  They are very straight.  
We purchased two door knob assemblies because two of the doors in our house would not close.  To our surprise, the handyman said that he could fix the old door knobs that were on the doors, which would keep with the historic look of the doors.  He made a trip to a hardware store in the area that had pieces to fix old doors, and he was able to fix the door knobs without installing new ones.  We didn't know that was possible, so we are very pleased with that.
We are very impressed with the service from this company.  We would definitely use them again.
