"We needed to replace an 8 by 8 slider leading to a three seasons room before the cold weather arrived. We had word of mouth on Home Energy Advantage and my wife worked with the salesman to design the door assembly (including an integrated dog door) that gave her the look she wanted and the functionality I wanted. During that process the sales rep ask if we wanted to see his new gadget and how it worked. Being a gadget kind of guy, I said yes and we went around the house doing infrared imaging of our windows and doors. Being a doubting Thomas, I physically felt the cold spots coming through and around our six year old replacement windows. I never did figure out whether it was a bad install or the fact that the windows we had purchased were of inferior quality but we decided the only way for us to go was to replace them all. <br /> Door and window install was done quickly and efficiently but the real winner was when we went back through the house with the infrared device. The walls and windows were all the same color which shows that we were not heating the outside through or around the windows any longer.  <br />  I intend to change the three seasons room into an additional four seasons living space this spring. I will be using Home Energy Advantage to do that job for me too. Rand R impressed us in all these aspects. <br /> <br /> Our home is a drafty Michigan farmhouse and in order to increase energy efficiency, we decided to insulate the crawlspace. Rand R is business local to us--and we prefer to use local businesses whenever possible. Customer service was prompt and professional and we are happy with the job they performed. <br /> <br /> What especially impressed us is this: our crawlspace is very narrow--one literally has to crawl on one's belly to move around in it and there are a variety of pipes that run through it. Following the installation of the insulation, we discovered that pipes had come apart at the joints in two places and we needed to call a plumber to repair them. I do not believe this was the result of negligence at all. <br /> <br /> When I reported this to Rand R, they did not argue. They promptly covered the cost of the plumbing repair.
