"Before the water heater installation, the technician said that in order to meet code requirement the water heater needed a vacuum breaker, which cost $95 above and beyond the $900 coupon price.  I said to him that the coupon price should be for a water heater that met all regulatory requirements instead of charging me extra for the vacuum breaker that's a code requirement.  He said no.  Since I needed the new water heater badly, I asked him to go ahead to install it and I would call his manager to talk about this.  When I called the manager he said he had to talk with the technician when he returned to the office the next morning.  When I called the manager again Monday morning after he had a chance to talk to the technician, he reduced the charge for the vacuum breaker to $30, perhaps the cost of the parts.  However, I still think that the vacuum breaker should be part of the package cost because they are supposed to supply and install a water heater with all parts required by prevailing codes because it's not an optional equipment.  Also, the technician used a pressure regulator, a flexible copper hose, and a power supply cable from my old water heater instead of using brand new ones.  Since the coupon did not list all these details, I couldn't argue about this, but the previous company which installed my last water heater supplied all these brand new, including the 3/4" brass ball valve for free while I had to pay $95 for it now.

"Excellent business. Richard was doing work for my neighbor when I discovered a very bad leak in my front yard. The leak was going into my neighbor's front yard and onto the sidewalk. It so happened I had a plumber at my house on the same day to fix something inside the house. I pointed out the leak to my plumber and he was not interested in fixing it since it was not what I contacted them to do. Richard was willing to fix the leak that night in the dark so that I would not have to turn off the water to the house. He's a great guy, does quality work for a quite reasonable price."

"TL:DR The American-made equipment works very well. The company ultimately assured the installation was complete and correct. But it was a rocky road. It was easy to schedule an appointment with a sales person. He spent a lot of time trying to sell me a system, when in fact I'd already done my research and knew I wanted to buy their products if they could improve my water quality. The salesman was able to give me measurements of dissolved solids and pH, which was important to me. Installation was fast; within about a week, our system was in place! Unfortunately, the installation did not pass inspection. When I contacted EcoWater Texas about the problem, the owner said the inspector was being unreasonable, and this had never happened before. He said he was uncomfortable having his plumber do the work the inspector required, and I would have to find someone else to do it. He said he'd pay the cost if it was reasonable. I contacted the inspector to get a detailed explanation of the work to be done. The inspector came over and gave me a red tag, formally failing the installation. He said I should call EcoWater Texas and tell them I had the tag, and if I submitted the tag to the licensing board they'd make it right. When I did that, EcoWater Texas agreed to find a plumber to do the work and cover the costs. The new plumber finished the installation, and it passed inspection. I then asked EcoWater Texas to test my water to make sure the system was working as advertised. This took a little time, but the salesman returned and did the testing. That's when I learned the system was only treating half my water! The rest entered the house in a different place. Apparently EcoWater Texas didn't check for that when they did the original installation. So EcoWater Texas had the second plumber come back and tie in the rest of the house water. The entire process took several months."

"Stuart HVAC, LLC Was amazing.  Stuart's knowledge, professionalism and attention to detail saved me time and money.  The man really knows his AC and heating.  He did so well on my air-conditioning system replacement that I had him come back out and replace my hot water heater.  All of which are working perfectly!

"We called "Butler Plumbing Co" because the plumber we used several days back was unavailable and we needed our plumbing issue take care of right away or we would not have been able to turn the water back on.
We spoke with them on the phone (nice lady) and she informed us that there is an additional charge for Sunday service and wanted to know if we could possible wait until Monday to save us some money.  We told her that we really needed to get the water going that day so we agreed to pay the additional fee. 
All this happened because we thought we could replace the master bathroom hot water faucet handle as it seemed simple enough. We'll we stripped the hot water "stop" under the sink and when trying to turn back on the water and the part that is just below the faucet handle broke when we tried to remove it along with the faucet handle.
We tried to turn on and off the hot water faucet but the stop didn't work anymore.
"CJ" came out from Butler Plumbing Co and fixed our issues very fast. He was confident, knowledgable and nice.  He changed out both the hot and cold water stops with quarter turn stops that were so much easier to use and  put back our hot water faucet handle which was still functional despite being broke.  We called the manufacturer for a replacement which they shipped out to us at no charge. 
He explained how to change out the rest of the faucet stops in our house and how to replace the hot water faucet so we won't have to call him back out to save us some money.
He then replaced the rubber seals in our Kitchen faucet quickly and showed us how to do this in the future. 
I thought they did a GREAT job and will call them again if we have a plumbing issue.  
Thru Angie's list, we now have two plumbing companies to call for any plumbing issues that do good honest work.
Several days later we were able to change out the hot water faucet handle with no problems at all.
