"In January of this year, I had another company come and take out the old insulation and install the blown-in insulation. However, they botched up the job and we found ourselves constantly vacuuming the insulation that was coming down through all the recess lights. They hadn’t bothered to seal them correctly. They also created so much mess removing the old insulation; so we had to move to the basement while cleaning up the main floor from the messy job they did. That’s when Dan was called in to remove the blown in kind and install the blue jeans insulation. Dan suggested the blue jeans batts, knowing my chemical sensitivity. I hadn’t known such insulation existed and am grateful he did to minimize exposure to chemical. I was very impressed from the moment I saw the crew wearing a suit that was clearly designed to protect them. Dan’s crew discovered that the other insulation company had not properly removed all the old insulation company, and Dan could have charged me more for the extra removal work, but he stuck with the quoted price and did an amazing job. He made sure I would not be affected by the removal of the old blown-in insulation(have asthma). This time no dust was created while removing the blown-in insulation. "Fantastic experience with USA Insulation. From our first meeting with Paul (consultant) and our contacts with Loretta, to the installation of the insulation (Carmello and Elizar) things couldn't have gone more smoothly. Contracted with them to add 17 inches of blown in insulation to come up to code in HoCo (house built in 1972). Had to delay insulation because of an addition being built since our contractor needed clear access to the attic in main house. Advised company who graciously held the contract open for us. Maintained contact with Loretta (who is exceptional and a pleasure to talk to) and once addition was finished was able to promptly (re)schedule the installation. Installers arrived promptly, explained everything to us in detail and even showed us before/after pictures of work performed. Both gentlemen were friendly, professional and courteous. Left work area cleaner than when they arrived (thorough vacuum of work and surrounding areas). Most pleased with the work performed. Looking forward to a more energy efficient home."

"They were very responsive in finalizing the contract - Paul even met us on his day off so we could review the final details. Some of the exterior molding had to be replaced first due to water damage and this was done at a reasonable additional cost (which we knew about in advance) - some companies might just cover it up or charge too much since they know you are committed at that point. They also properly insulated between the siding and windows and we don't feel any drafts. The crew was knowledgeable and cleaned up properly at the end of the job. We had some exterior mantels placed above our windows which had to be painted prior to installation. They came back later as agreed to and installed them after I painted them."

Through dialog he provided a solution to address the bedroom above and repaired all the drywall. Matched the paint and painted whole room to where is looked brand new. "After checking Angie's List and with the Better Business Bureau, I called DeVere. Within just a few days Joel arrived at our door to look at what was needed and to give us an estimate. At no time did we feel pressure to sign on the dotted line. Joel was professional and obviously knows the business. Once we received Devere's insurance certificate we scheduled the work. Armando and a helper arrived in their work truck and proceeded to rip out all the old insulation and replace it with the new materials they had brought. It was a horribly messy job getting rid of the old insulation but the crew did it without complaint. Once they were done not a trace of material was left behind. The new insulation not only looks great but it does a good job of keepint the bathroom much warmer than it has in the past. Armando and his helper also did a terrific job wrapping the pipes. Neighbors have experienced burst water pipes this winter due to the bitter temperatures and I have DeVere's crew to thank for not having to worry about ours. "Same-day estimate was provided by Jay who happened to be in the area the day I called. He went through what they typically install and the amount of insulation recommended for the area and provided a written estimate. Installation was performed on the scheduled data, installers arrived within the time window specified. In fact, they arrived about 15 minutes from the start of the time window (about 10:15am) and apologized for being a bit late because they blew a tire on the way there (had to have a repair truck come while they were working)! Installers were very professional and courteous. Installation took only about 1 hour and they did a very good job of keeping the area clean. There was some vacuuming that was needed afterwords, but much less than I expected given how much mess insulation has been for me in the past. I would definitely recommend and use Carroll Insulation again."

"My fiance and I were having problems with interior water damage caused by a faulty stucco wall. Dimitri and his crew were amazing from the start. Dimitri provided a reasonable quote and walked us through his proposed solution - an exterior insulation finishing system. He told us that not only would this system prevent moisture from entering the home, it would also increase the home's energy efficiency. He was never pushy and wanted to make sure the project was something we were comfortable with. When we decided to select his bid he spent a great deal of time discussing the details with us in-person, over email, and on the phone. He even spent several hours with me at the DC permitting office to help get the necessary scaffolding permit. <br /> When it came time for the job to begin, his crew was on time and extremely professional. They continued to discuss the progress and various finishing options with us as the work went on.  For example, Dimitri would send us daily photos of the job site and ask for our input. The job finished early and was extremely well done. We only found one minor finishing issue that was a mistake by a member of his work crew. Dimitri went back that day to fix it. What great customer service! <br /> Overall, Dimitri was extremely easy to work with and completed the project at a very reasonable rate. After several weeks with the new exterior insulation finishing system we are very happy with how the wall looks and performs (we have already noticed a difference in the warmth of our home). "The two technicians arrived at our house within the time frame they said they were. The main tech explained who they were and what services they were going to perform that day. He also explained the process as they went along. They laid down floor coverings before moving their equipment into the house. They hooked up a giant vacuum machine the the A/C unit in the basement. While that was running, the techs went around the house vaccuuming depris out of the A/C registers. They also vaccuumed the two large A/C intakes (one upstairs, one downstairs). There was a lot of carpet depris, nails, and drywall dust that they were pulling out of the vents. The technicians were polite and professional. The whole process took about 90 minutes. <br /> I was hestitate about having the air ducts cleaned after reading on government websites saying that it may be unnecessary, and checking with other sources. However, after seeing all the depris that was pulled from the air ducts, I was satisfied that we had done the right thing. The estimate from the company was the exact price we paid, with no hidden costs or services charges. <br />"
