"Paul’s crew did an excellent job remodeling our kitchen. This included removing the soffit, upgrading the electrical service, installing new cabinets, and installing some new appliances. We stayed with a similar layout for the kitchen. His main crew person, Mark, did 95 percent of the work and was highly skilled. This included demolition, preparing the space for the new kitchen, installing the cabinets, and putting in duct work for the new hood. He even unpacked all the cabinets after delivery. His attention to detail was impressive in all areas like ceiling texture, painting, backsplash tile, and trim/molding pieces. Mark will be able to figure out and resolve any issue your old house might present. New appliances were on our own to provide, and the contract clearly stated “owner supplied.” New cabinets were also on our own, and here Paul included an allowance. This allowance is an amount he will subtract from the final amount you owe. That’s nice when you get to the end of the project. Your cabinet estimate will come from the cabinet supplier/design company you go with. To give you an idea, in our small kitchen we spent $10,000 on cabinets from Parr. Paul coordinated the main construction, electricians, plumbers, and countertop installation. He even communicated with the cabinet supplier we ordered from. The project took a tad over 6 weeks which was about right for the work involved. Each day there was noticeable progress."

"I have used them a couple of times. We have a big home center here, besides which we have a local home centre too. The last time I used David from Eugene Custom Sash and Door, was because I had a break in, at my house and I had to have the doors replaced. I wanted solid wood doors as the previous doors were solid wooden doors. I went to another company, but they took forever. It took them forever to come out to the house and measure. They told me that they wouldn't be able to put in solid wooden doors and that I would have to go for pre-hung doors To get the pre hung doors, they would have to alter the way my doors and the way my entry way is hooked. This kept happening back and forth and I had to keep driving all the way to the other company. After a month, we are still going back and forth and they sent me a contract. I sent it back and realized something wasn't right. It was also quite expensive. I finally realized that what they were going to do on my doors was unacceptable as it was going to alter the way the entry way looked. I got sick of all this and remembered that suddenly I had David from Eugene Custom Sash And Door, who had come out and done window work for me years before. I called him and first of all he came out to measure the very next day. He said he would do the work. The alteration part was maybe because my house settles a little bit, and there's a slate which is not exactly square in the doorway or something. He had hung the new doors within in the next 4-5 days and they were the most perfect fitting doors that I have in my entire house or ever had. He is a skilled craftsman and a very nice person. He is convenient. He is attentive. I got a better price from David than the others. Although I love the other company for many things, I don't think I like them for appliance or installations. I think the individual people who specialize in that stuff are better and I have the highest recommendation for them."
