"Clifton Hill did a great job. He answered our call and arrived quickly. I highly recommend his services. He has changed his business name to FilterMan Services. This was an extremely cold day and our furnace was lighting but blowing cold air. I began searching for emergency service providers. I received a call from Clifton and he said he could be here very soon. Long story short, He arrived and fixed our problem promptly. GREAT SERVICE!!!"

"After screwed royal by a home warranty company, I called Bud Anderson to fix my furnace. His man was out in three hours, spent an exhaustive hour or more trying to nail down the problem and finally figured out the problem. $600 to replace control board and gas valve. This on a 15-year old builder-grade furnace. I asked about replacement and the next morning a salesman was there and spent three hours putting together a package that I could afford. The next morning, three professionals came with a complete new system: gas furnace, air conditioner, and thermostat. They worked without break for over eight hours pulling out the old furnace from the attic, installing the new one up there, including a secondary return vent and a new distribution box, replaced the outside compressor with new everything including pad, and charged and tuned the system, not leaving until it worked perfectly. Very professional from top to bottom and from I am able to ascertain for others in the industry the price was fair for the parts and labor I received."

"New installation went well. I was a little upset that only 50% was covered being that the unit was 19 years old. I'm sure that parts for something that old would be hard to find. Replacement was recommended."

"Fast and efficient! Once we signed forms, a week later the work has started. This is the 3rd company we worked with and they couldn't get started for one reason or another. We're very pleased with the process."

"The people they sent out came out, they came out , I think about 4 or 5 different times. I talked with the technicians and said, "this is ridiculous, the furnace is old" and he said, "we agree, but they only want to do the patching". They would patch it and it would break, they would patch it, and it would break. Finally, I said, "I want a new furnace. What do we have to do to do a new furnace. You've been out here, this is like the 6th time," and he said, "I'll have my manager write something up", and so they did and they replaced the furnace. They tried. They were more interested in patching things than replacing things. They were willing to send out 4 or 5 different parts. The things that I see that would help the most is if it were easier to get a hold of them on the phone or if their website worked. Just being able to contact someone in person. Sometimes, you can't explain everything online. We were able to get a hold of them, we were able to talk to them. It just takes some time, they had to jump through the hoops with their company, we understood that, but they came through and got us a new furnace. A nice new furnace too."

FAQs for central humidifier installation and replacement projects in Evansville, AR

A crawl space dehumidifier is a worthwhile investment, particularly in humid climates or if you've noticed musty odors, mold growth, or wood deterioration. Though costs range from $3,000 to $9,200, this investment helps prevent structural damage that could require far more expensive repairs later. Beyond structural protection, a properly dehumidified crawl space contributes to better overall indoor air quality and may reduce allergens throughout your home. Consider having a professional assessment to determine if your specific situation warrants this investment.

Addressing crawl space moisture effectively often requires a combination of solutions. A complete approach includes encapsulation plus dehumidifier installation. For minor moisture issues, a basic dehumidifier starting at $1,500 may suffice, while severe problems in larger spaces could require systems costing up to $14,000. The most effective moisture control strategy depends on your specific conditions, making a professional assessment valuable for determining the most cost-effective approach for your situation.

For a crawl space measuring 1,500 square feet, you'll need a dehumidifier with a daily capacity of 30 to 50 pints, with unit costs ranging from $150 to $600. Your local climate and existing moisture levels may necessitate adjusting this capacity—homes in particularly humid regions might benefit from higher-capacity units. Professional installers can measure your specific humidity conditions and recommend equipment that is appropriately sized, balancing initial cost with operating efficiency for your unique situation.

Crawl space dehumidifiers add $300 to $500 to your annual electricity expenses when operating continuously. Energy-efficient models reduce this consumption by roughly 15 to 30% compared to standard units. Most contemporary dehumidifiers feature humidity sensors that automatically cycle operation based on current conditions, helping manage energy usage. Proper crawl space encapsulation significantly improves efficiency by creating a controlled environment that requires less dehumidifier runtime, thereby reducing ongoing electricity costs.
