"I LOVE my new windows! There is nothing like triple-pane glass to keep the cold out in the winter and the heat out in the summer. On a very cold Michigan day I sat on the dining room chair nearest the sliding glass door (basically right next to it!). I could feel NO cold at all! Adrian was right: glass is a poor insulator, but triple pane glass with the gas in-between is the way to go for energy efficiency! Another thing: I used to keep my window blinds closed much of the time, or in the daytime at least down but tilted open. I find now that I keep my window blinds UP all the way during the day! And that's kind of weird, because it's still just glass, but there is just something enjoyable about looking out these windows. And although I really never had a big noise problem, I have noticed that it is SO quiet in the house when the windows are closed. "Retrofoam removed the fiberglass and blown-in insulation from our attic. They then sprayed their open cell foam on the underside of our roof. Both work crews were very professional and conscientious of the areas where they worked in our house. They did a great job with the coverage areas of the foam. The temperature difference in our attic now is amazing compared to before. It is comfortable to be in the attic now. We use it for storage so we are up there often."
