If everything looked good, he said they would not need to drill into the wall. That specific plan was the main reason I chose Sheldon s over the other company. For this, he quoted $3,898 (including a discount). I felt it was high but agreed, in part because he also offered a payment plan and said there would be no interest. Based on this understanding, I signed the estimate. The next day, shortly after starting work, he called me outside and showed me my metal shut-off valve. It was a round wheel handle you turn to open or close off the water. He said replacing it would cost an additional $1,200. I was shocked and repeatedly asked why the price was so high and whether it included parts and labor.
