"Mechanical Comfort Systems installed a new heating and air system when my upstairs (where all the bedrooms are located) system went out in the heat of the summer on a Thursday (left for work and it was working... got home and it was 90 degrees upstairs). I had another HVAC contractor out before calling Mechanical Comfort Systems and their proposal was significantly more expensive for a lesser system than I received from Mechanical Comfort Systems (the efficiency of the system was an upgrade from existing, and other company quoted replacement with same efficiency as existing). The system was replaced quickly (on a Saturday), and the installers were great, very professional. They cleaned up after themselves, and did a great job. During the freeze this February, I had a water pipe freeze and burst. Mechanical Comfort Systems came out the day after, even though driving conditions were still terrible and all my friends in similar situation were being told it'd be several days to a week before a plumber could come unless they paid some ridiculously expensive emergency fee... I recommended Mechanical Comfort Systems to three other people I knew that also had frozen pipes burst, and they all had them come after fix theirs after I gave them Mechanical Comfort Systems information. I strongly recommend Mechanical Comfort Systems to anyone needing any plumbing or HVAC work. I'll definitely use them again... although I hope not anytime soon ?"

"Stuart is very knowledge about HVAC units and tries to repair versus replacement.  Extraordinary customer relations.

Also scheduled adding new insulation.  His work is reliable.   We had a few hiccups on the timeline of getting replacement unit installed due to call load. We plan to use him for normal maintenance going forward.

"First review ever. Our downstairs 5 ton AC unit's compressor went out and it was suggested by everyone to replace the entire unit. Big deal to me, so I got 6 companies to come out and give me bids. Out of all of them Air Patrol was by far the most knowledgeable and about 4 thousand dollars lower than the cheapest bid for the same unit. I chose the top of the line 26 SEER, variable speed unit which is the most energy efficient unit on the market made by Carrier along with a UV light to kill mold and viruses. It's a complete package with smart communication system between the thermostat to the AC unit outside, and the furnace. All the components are smart and the unit runs from 1% to 100% based on the need. The thermostat shows you exactly how much energy it uses daily in a chart on the app on my phone. On a 100 degree day set to 73 the unit uses around 3$ a day or less (my rate is .10 cents a KWH) which is unreal. At any rate, Air Patrol did an amazing job. Shawn really knew his stuff. I really felt very comfortable with his knowledge and smart suggestions. Our master was always about 5 degrees hotter than the rest of the house and he suggested a some duct work changes which we agreed to and now the wife wears a sweater all around the house in the summer which is crazy. The house is always cold unlike before and this is just the downstairs unit set to 73. The system is super fast to cool as well, tested from 80 to 73 about 45 minutes. Ramon, Yourman and Francisco (the installers) were total champs and really did incredible work. The installation and attention to detail is superb. I highly recommend Air Patrol if you want quality installation at the best price. And like I said I never write reviews for anyone but they really deserved it."

"TL:DR The American-made equipment works very well. The company ultimately assured the installation was complete and correct. But it was a rocky road. It was easy to schedule an appointment with a sales person. He spent a lot of time trying to sell me a system, when in fact I'd already done my research and knew I wanted to buy their products if they could improve my water quality. The salesman was able to give me measurements of dissolved solids and pH, which was important to me. Installation was fast; within about a week, our system was in place! Unfortunately, the installation did not pass inspection. When I contacted EcoWater Texas about the problem, the owner said the inspector was being unreasonable, and this had never happened before. He said he was uncomfortable having his plumber do the work the inspector required, and I would have to find someone else to do it. He said he'd pay the cost if it was reasonable. I contacted the inspector to get a detailed explanation of the work to be done. The inspector came over and gave me a red tag, formally failing the installation. He said I should call EcoWater Texas and tell them I had the tag, and if I submitted the tag to the licensing board they'd make it right. When I did that, EcoWater Texas agreed to find a plumber to do the work and cover the costs. The new plumber finished the installation, and it passed inspection. I then asked EcoWater Texas to test my water to make sure the system was working as advertised. This took a little time, but the salesman returned and did the testing. That's when I learned the system was only treating half my water! The rest entered the house in a different place. Apparently EcoWater Texas didn't check for that when they did the original installation. So EcoWater Texas had the second plumber come back and tie in the rest of the house water. The entire process took several months."

They were very helpful, provided lots of information also.

The only thing I didn't like is that when I asked the helper if they cleaned the 2 extra vents in the rooms that were part of the intake vents, I looked behind the furniture, and it wasn't moved or cleaned.

"What a great group of professional people. Starting with Lindel, who came out listened to my concerns and desires for a new system; he then made logical recommendations and gave clear explanations. The day of installation Roland, Mathew, Justin, Brendon and Pedro were here to do what it took to install the new system. They were professional, personable and made sure the work was well installed. When they left, everything was clean and as if they had not been in the house. Except for the great new AC system and the promised quiet comfort. I will recommend these guys any day. Amazing great job!"

"I called the afternoon my A/C went out. Morrison said would be there at 9a, got there at 8:45. Looked over entire system. Fixed the problem; explained why it broke down & how to care for A/C in general. The cost I wrote in here for the service call is approximate because I also had them service the A/C at my office. I’ve known Morrison family since 2010. They are honest about what’s wrong with A/C & cost of repair, whether replacement is warranted and what can wait, and are prompt in an emergency. They did an install for a friend & she is pleased a year later when Morrison came to service her A/C - for free because it was their install. The price they charged was way lower than other people she contacted & they provided a warranty for her new A/C. Highly recommend Morrisons."

"They were very professional. There was a problem with one of the installs. The fan had to be replaced before it could be installed. I called when the new fan arrived. They came out right away to reinstall the 2nd fan and included it in my original purchase. Could not be happier with the services provided. Della M"

"It went well.  I am in a new (to me) home, and I did not expect the mold problem, so the extra cost was a hit, but I always maintained my other home well, and I have to fix the things wrong on this one.  The technician was really polite and professional, and informed me of everything he was doing, and provided a detailed listing of what was wrong.  I can't climb the stairs to the attic to see, so I couldn't see the problem, but I took his word for it.  He even replaced a dirty vent in the front living room.

FAQs for central humidifier installation and replacement projects in Gainesville, TX

A crawl space dehumidifier is a worthwhile investment, particularly in humid climates or if you've noticed musty odors, mold growth, or wood deterioration. Though costs range from $3,000 to $9,200, this investment helps prevent structural damage that could require far more expensive repairs later. Beyond structural protection, a properly dehumidified crawl space contributes to better overall indoor air quality and may reduce allergens throughout your home. Consider having a professional assessment to determine if your specific situation warrants this investment.

Addressing crawl space moisture effectively often requires a combination of solutions. A complete approach includes encapsulation plus dehumidifier installation. For minor moisture issues, a basic dehumidifier starting at $1,500 may suffice, while severe problems in larger spaces could require systems costing up to $14,000. The most effective moisture control strategy depends on your specific conditions, making a professional assessment valuable for determining the most cost-effective approach for your situation.

For a crawl space measuring 1,500 square feet, you'll need a dehumidifier with a daily capacity of 30 to 50 pints, with unit costs ranging from $150 to $600. Your local climate and existing moisture levels may necessitate adjusting this capacity—homes in particularly humid regions might benefit from higher-capacity units. Professional installers can measure your specific humidity conditions and recommend equipment that is appropriately sized, balancing initial cost with operating efficiency for your unique situation.

Crawl space dehumidifiers add $300 to $500 to your annual electricity expenses when operating continuously. Energy-efficient models reduce this consumption by roughly 15 to 30% compared to standard units. Most contemporary dehumidifiers feature humidity sensors that automatically cycle operation based on current conditions, helping manage energy usage. Proper crawl space encapsulation significantly improves efficiency by creating a controlled environment that requires less dehumidifier runtime, thereby reducing ongoing electricity costs.
