"I had them replace my entire HVAC system (furnance + AC). They did a great job through the whole process. Out of four quotes I received, they were the only ones that took the time to do a full heating and cooling load calculation for my house when they came to do an estimate in addition to making detailed measurements of our utility room to make sure anything they installed would fit. They gave me three proposals ranging from low-end, mid-range, and high end options and explained the equipment in each of them in detail, including documenting all the model numbers, efficiency ratings, and specs. What they recommended matched up with my research I did prior to receiving estimates. They were very responsive, knowledgeable, and professional so I gave them the job. The crew arrived on time, worked hard the whole day, were respectful of my house, and did not require supervision (although, they told me I was more than welcome to ask questions and watch anything they were doing). They cleaned up, explained the warranty and rebate options with all the paperwork already filled out so that all I had to do was sign--they even mailed both the warranty and rebate off for me. The whole process went great. While their prices were fair they were not the cheapest, but I have no doubt they did a great job, didn't cut corners, and will stand by their work if I experience any problems. They are a reasonably sized HVAC business and not a one-man-band shop like many places in the area, so I know they will likely still be around through the life of the warranty and are well staffed to respond to emergencies, including a 24/7 emergency service number. Overall, we're very happy with the new system and it's a huge improvement over what it replaced--both the AC and furnace are much quieter than the old units, more energy efficient, and perform better. It's been a month since the install and everything has been working fine without problems."

"Joe was the first to call shortly after I submitted my request for service. He had the tech out that morning who confirmed what I thought was the issue - the AC needed replacement. Since both the furnace & AC were original, I asked for an estimate to replace both. Joe's estimate was very fair given I had an estimate earlier in the year for just the AC. Because I am in a condo, choices were limited on both the AC unit and the furnance (because of size and space limitations). But Joe found a good combination of products and the install team came out on a SUNDAY! The job was not an easy one and I appreciated the team's tenacity in completing the installation. So far, everything is working well. One thing to be aware of: while the company offers an interest free payment plan, that plan is based on a higher cost (essentially I took it to mean the interest was built into the payoff period) so I chose to go with the original estimate."

The heating consultant that they sent, Alex H, was very friendly and knowledgeable. He provided us with estimates for a number of options - similar to those from other HVAC companies that quoted for this work. A day later I received a call from Blue Dot offering a discount on that quote and we accepted that quote. Alex made the one and a half hour drive to visit with us again, to walk us through the contract details, and to explain install process. This was a really nice touch as usually contracts are signed electronically these days. The Blue Dot install team came on time on the scheduled day and did a neat and professional job with the install - performing all the necessary checks and tests, and left the work area clean and tidy - and with the HVAC systems working well. The whole purchase and install process couldn't have gone smoother. We are very happy with BlueDot and will certainly use them again preferentially for our HVAC needs."

"David L. was our service tech. He was polite, efficient, and very capable. David replaced the sink pop-up neatly and quickly. Dispatch communicated on Monday that our tech would arrive at 10 am on Wednesday, but he came considerably early at 8:15 am. I was a bit surprised when the doorbell rang without a phone call first, especially given the change in arrival time, but was happy to receive our service earlier in the day. I was disappointed that I couldn't use my Christmas "$40 off" coupon because our bill was under $195. David asked if I wanted to replace the faucet at this time, but I declined."

" I called American Home Services for the remediation of mold in the basement (3 bedrooms, a family room, and 1 bathroom) of my home. Kurt Randell, the President of AHS, came for a free estimate. Kurt is a master of his trade: he is very knowledgeable, honest, courteous, and sensitive to the client's needs. No pressure and no scare tactics. I was concerned about the chemicals used, and Kurt addressed that concern by telling me that he would send me information about the two chemicals that he uses, - Benefect and Shockwave - and I could decide which one I wanted as late as the day of the job. (I chose Benefect.) I received the estimate within 24 hours, and the price was reasonable. We set up a time that was convenient for me. Kurt's workmen, Jeff and Seth, are professional, courteous, and extremely responsive. They did a very thorough job. They removed and discarded all contaminated items from the property (carpet, padding, tack strips, furniture, books, etc.), the contaminated lower part of the drywall in 2 rooms (a larger area than that which was included in the estimate - at no additional cost), and the contaminated back half of the bathroom ceiling. They hauled away all the contaminated items in their truck, - a real feat, because on the first day of the job we had a constant, driving rain. Jeff and Seth helped me determine if a given item could be cleaned, or had to be trashed. When I indicated that I would like to keep certain memorabilia, they put them aside and cleaned them, item by item. Jeff and Seth bio-washed the entire contaminated area with Benefect, and treated exposed wires, vents, and piping with an EPA fungicide. Finally, they applied an EPA registered anti-microbial encapsulation to the treated area. On the second day of the job (which lasted 3 days), Kurt had already lined up several contractors (waterproofing, drywall build-back, and tile floor), that I would need following the mold remediation. This was tremendously helpful, because it saved me the time and effort of having to interview and co-ordinate the various workmen. When the job was done, Jeff and Seth cleaned the basement meticulously. Following the mold remediation, Kurt did an air quality test, and sent it to a microbial consulting lab. The result of the test: I now have a mold-free home. I give AHS the highest possible recommendation. Kurt, Jeff, and Seth did an amazing job, and, if the need arises, I would want no other company. I will definitely recommend AHS to family members and friends.

"It did not work out too well. The schedule it was just horrendous, for example they were scheduled to come at 4:00 on a particular day and about 10 minutes before I get an email saying he wasn't coming because of delays with other clients. That didn't make me real happy. I don't know on the price, I guess it was ok. They did not paint my deck because it had been painted before, and they said they could not do that, so they just power washed it for $279, or whatever the price was. I would not use them again. Do not use them. Scheduling was horrdenous and then once I did get them scheduled they didn't show up, and when they did show up they were late. The work was inferior."
