"From the very start all things went well above expectations, the plumbing coordinator took care of everything with the city in regards to the new meters and having city water people at the job on time. This was totally scheduled and executed within 24hrs of my phone call.  <br> <br>The plumbing technician was on time, with all new items ready to go, he was well versed in the new meter set up, had a great working relationship with the city water people, he was a pleasure to have in our house. <br>He re-plumbed all our outdoor copper tubing and installed new shut off valves, and two meters, seriously his piping job was a work of art. He then completed the project by repairing a outdoor faucet with a hole in the old piping, and installed a second faucet that was worn, the then ran pressure checks on both, new new faucets are great! <br>City inspector noted a violation on my water softener, drain that Culligan had recently installed, Countryside Tech said he'd repair it before he left saving me a citation from the city. "WARNING - make sure you get a fully price estimate up front before they begin to do work. I brought them in to work on furnace/AC unit/split AC unit servicing garage (based on a promotional price for the first two). It was found my split unit needed a recharge for coolant and I was told that it'd only be 5 lbs of coolant and that this would be priced by the pound (which was reasonable). The bill came and they tacked on a flat charge of $219 for the coolant (this is in addition to the $129 charge to look over the split unit). I felt baited-and-switched. I also contacted them about this, and the answer came down to "This is additional profit for us added onto your bill." Not pleased. At all. Particularly since the coolant in question costs approximately $6 per pound and they only used 5 lbs (one would assume that the $129 charge built in enough profit for labor/licenses/equipment due to the limited time spent working on the split unit. Apparently not). Comfort By Design does excellent work, and they do stand by their work, but just be VERY CAREFUL in finding out what they're going to charge you, particularly if something extra comes up when they're doing a job."
