Correct Energy and especially Ray’s knowledge and experience were above and beyond. CE came out to assess and spent a generous amt of time explaining EVERYTHING. CE came when they said they would. The crew was professional and spent a few days here. They left everything immaculate. My place is old, built in the 1940’s so many challenges came up that they handled like absolute pro’s. Their work has and will continue to save so much on energy, the difference of before and after is immediate and drastic. I can’t wait for them to come back and do my basement next! "I hired DF Construction to replace windows, siding, garage doors, gutters and my front door. This is the biggest single project I’d ever considered and I was very apprehensive about it. I kept imagining all the things that could go wrong! Don Frame and his crew were wonderful to work with. From the very first estimate, Don took the time and made plenty of measurements to make sure that he knew exactly what I was hoping to get. He explained the options and suggested some alternatives that saved me quite a bit of money. Don’s crew encountered challenges as they worked — bitter cold being the worst — but they always remained courteous, pleasant and professional. Every time something unexpected came up, Don or one of his crew explained the options and made sure I was happy with their solution. They cleaned up after themselves every day and always arrived on time. DF Construction did a fantastic job! I am very pleased with the final result and I won’t hesitate to contact Don again for future projects."

"This is my second experience with Matt and he was again excellent. Problem: water seepage into basement with resulting mold sufficient to make me physically ill. Matt arrives on time with his assistant, gets to work and completes the work from day to day until complete, excepting weekends. He is open to discussing alternatives that may be less costly and to trying these alternatives, with the express understanding that these may not work sufficiently and more thorough work, additional work may be needed. It is always clear that the work being performed is necessary, and if additional work is needed, the new work would build on the prior work done. So there is no wasted work, and little to no downside to trying a more limited approach to see if that is sufficient. I can always call him to come back and upgrade, which in this case would be to install a ditch around the inside perimeter of the basement for drainage to the already installed sump pumps. The cost is entirely reasonable given the amount of work performed and the time commitment involved (almost 5 full work days). I recommend Matt without reservation."

Additionally, I had them insulate a 40' x 100' barn for me 2 years ago - I heat it with propane and it cost me a total of $700 to heat it the first year. Needless to say, I have been very pleased. "Obtained quotes from 4 other venders. I am sure most would have done a good job installing the roof alone. However upon arrival, Jason from Cousins immediately focused on a detailed plan to correct a couple of problems that he had spotted before I even showed him the leak that has been plaguing us for many years. His experience in the field, learning the business from his grandfather, was evident and his problem solving solutions coincided with information that I had obtained over the years from researching and talking to other professionals. Most of the other venders that I received quotes from were very vague or did not even address solutions for our problem even with my prompting. The Cousins Construction team was very professional and knowledgeable. We are very pleased with the outcome and that includes the shingle color recommendation they made!"

"We contacted Comfort Windows to make our home more energy efficient as they were recommended by NYSERDA.  The hiring process went smoothly.  The local sales rep came to the house and walked us through the process.  They then sent someone to evaluate our situation and make recommendations.  They then presented us with their proposal and everything was to our satisfaction.  Once we entered into a contract for services with them that ball was dropped.  We were told work would be done in the summer months, when I would be home to oversee them. This did not happen.  Apparently our rep left the company that July and the ball was dropped again.  I had to call many time and was finally put on the schedule for September.  Work was completed when I was not around and not to my satisfaction.   They could not insulate areas of the house because they waited too long and we had already received our pellets for the upcoming winter.  We were expecting rectangular aluminum soffits equally spaced under our roof line and they installed circular ones that are not equally spaced out.  They did insulate the attics well, and the bathroom fan was installed to our satisfaction as well.  The piece of ceiling they installed was cut but just set in there and has since fallen out.   We have had to contact them several times after the installation to come back and correct things and some issues still exist.  I plan to contact them again once the weather warms up so all out heat is not escaping outside. <br /> In Summary:  Comfort was great at getting the sale, but the work performed was fair at best.  This was not necessarily the installers fault as they were not given good directions from their supervisors. <br />"

"Amril was very responsive, I had him come to my house before purchasing the 'Handyman for a Day' deal, to see if the tasks I had in mind could be done within the 8 hours. We determined it could be done by 2 men in 4 hours due to the weight and size of door to be installed and the second story work from a ladder. Purchased the deal and we agreed that he would do the work once I had the materials on hand. I purchased the door, had to be ordered and took 2 weeks to arrive. Meanwhile, I also purchased a strip of siding and J-channel to have on hand for repairs and the caulk. Admir supplied the fasteners needed for the siding repairs.Once the door arrived, we arranged to do the work on my next day off. In the meantime, I had sent him the installation instructions to review prior to doing the job. Admir and his helper arrived on time and started right in on the work. Completed the storm door replacement in about an hour. Then the siding repairs. No more siding flapping in the wind! also replaced some cracked trim pieces. Caulked most of my windows, and we agreed I could finish up on my own after purchasing more caulk. The storm door looks good, however there were a couple of details that could have been completed better. Although I had sent him installation instructions and had a copy on hand, he did not really pay much attention to them. So the door is in, but a couple of parts were not installed, leaving some gaps at the bottom of door frame I had not read instructions either - just skimmed thru them, assuming he was the professional and would do it right. I will be able to do something about the gap, however. Siding repair was done well considering the way it was installed nearly 25 years ago. Before he left. I discussed a new deal his company is offering on Angie's List for some masonry work. I will definitely consider Ado Construction for future work, but I will pay more attention to detail before and during the work."

"I am a little disappointed because they agreed to patch these 5 inch holes that they put in to blow the insulation in. They said they will drywall tape it and spackle it. After they left I went up and they only taped it. So they didn t do what they agreed to do. The insulation is good I am pleased about that. I was concerned about the smell as they told me it would go away after a few days and it took a month and a half and it is just now gone. The job was satisfactory but not perfect."
