"I can’t say enough about Everguard Insulation. I live in a two story, 2200 sqft home, built in 1986, which over the past 13 years of ownership has proven to be very poorly insulated. With recent summers getting hotter and hotter, and winters feeling colder and colder, I knew I had to do something. Whole house fan, Check. New double pane windows, Check. Finally, AC, Check. Still, even with all that, hot in summer, cold in winter. I reached out to a number of insulation companies, but was not happy with the responses from any of them, until I found Everguard. I explained my situation, and they suggested two options; 1) Clad the inside of my roof with a radiant barrier, and/or 2) Increase my attic blown insulation from the present 3” depth to 13” depth. Since I already had solar panels on my roof, acting as deflectors of direct heat, I chose to go with the 13” of insulation. It is important to note that I reached out to Everguard in the spring of 2022, and didn’t finally arrange for the work until the fall. Another company might have hounded me for the sale. Everguard just made a few courtesy calls during a 6 month span, just to see if I was still interested. I appreciate that. I can’t stand pushy salesmen. When it came time for the installation, a crew of two arrived and worked quickly, cleanly, and efficiently, completing the entire job in just over one hour. "This is the second time we've worked with Viking Insulation. The first was through our contractor, when Viking insulated the exterior of the house (it was down to the studs during a stucco job) and also insulated our attic. As we had our 'sides and top' insulated but not our floors, we imagined that we were still losing heat (in winter) and A/C (in summer). That said, we knew it would be a tricky and difficult installation, given that the access is small, the crawl space is short and we have some HVAC ducts beneath the house. Our inquiry was answered promptly, we were given a very fair price per foot, and the work was scheduled and performed within two days. The guys who came to install the insulation were friendly, worked efficiently, and cleaned up every bit of insulation, such that after they were done, no one would have been able to tell that numerous rolls of insulation had been brought into our yard, cut to size, dragged beneath our house, and installed. They affixed the insulation to the floor joists with wire, and left no wire or staples anywhere. We were very pleased with their work, and would recommend them highly. <br />"

"Although a bit late I needed to give a review according to the work done. I started out by having an energy audit done because our home was always uncomfortable no matter the time of the year. The audit was informative and thorough, explains what exactly was wrong with out current home condition and HVAC. After a long delay I was able to find a way to finance the work (through the ca energy upgrade program). Building Doctors were excellent. Their work is thorough and they do things right. They had to do extra work to make sure insulating around my recessed lighting was done right by building structure around the cans. When you have done things done right, it's not necessarily the cheapest up front but it's cheaper in the long run. They know what they are doing. I feel I got what I paid for and that peace of mind that no shortcuts were taken. I'm kind of picky and building doctors satisfied all of my concerns."
