"This company came to my door offering to put an extra layer of insulation in the upstairs with a rebate from Columbia Gas.   They were very low pressure with the sales, and they left me some information to think about it.  I checked them out by calling Columbia gas and then proceeded with the work. When they arrived they mentioned another layer of insulation in addition to the one I signed up for, but they offered this at no pressure and accepted my answer of no.  I got 330 dollars back from right away, and I also am getting a tax credit, making the insulation cost a little less than $200. This is exactly what they said to me; there have been no hidden cost.  It is hard to judge quality with this job because you can't see it, but the upstairs does seem to hold its temperature better."

"Our house has a low heating efficiency. I explained the details of the problem and asked for an opinion on solving the problem and an estimate on installing insulation. The service man said that the 4 inches of 'compacted' blown insulation was adequate (R30). This may or may not be correct, but I don't think it is. Assuming that it was correct, there was no effort made to understand and explain any other reasons for the high heating bill. The estimate that was eventually given was reasonable, but I did not feel comfortable with the interaction. <br />"

"Warmzone has been very responsive. However, the installers made mistakes installing the system and when they went to correct it, somehow caused damage that made the system inoperable. They had to come back a year later and redo it. Now it works pretty good. Every time I've had questions Warmzone has been very responsive. i would use them again--but use their recommended installers and not my contractors who did it last time. <br /> One caveat: The system doesn't always work perfectly in very cold weather with fast accumulating snow. We have old-fashioned clay brick pavers. Next time I'll send Warmzone a sample of the pavers so that they can test for the power needed to operate the system effectively. <br /> But--they sell a great product and they're very helpful to deal with. They'll get right on the phone with you and troubleshoot, even long after the sale. <br />"
