"CMA came out to install two air conditioner units in my home in 2019. About a month ago, I the downstairs unit stopped working. I called them and they came out and told me to change the filters. Of course, that did not work. I called them back and told them that was not the issue, and they gave me a hard time about coming back. When they came back the second time, they found that the fan in the downstairs unit had stopped working. The parts are under warranty, and I paid roughly $400 for labor. Yesterday I called them because my upstairs unit was not working. The woman in the office said that they were booked out 3 weeks. I told her that since I had spent over $10K with them for the units in 2019, I think they need to come back and fix the issue. The woman then stated that the technicians did not want to come back. I nor my husband were rude to any technicians when they came to work on my units. However, my husband is black and I am white, so maybe the problem is that the family owned company are a bunch of racist. I would not use this company unless you enjoy throwing money away and horrible customer service for spending your money."

The Dickerson Company left and advised that they were call me with the pricing for a new system. I called and got a new quote from another AC company that’s reputable in this area. After the new company came, it was brought to my attention that my AC system was trashed. I called Jim Dickerson and was told that it wasn’t them I received another opinion and this from another reputable company, and this time they took pictures and videos. After looking at the pictures and videos I called Jim Dickerson back and was told again that they didn’t do it. I feel like I’ve been taken advantage of because I’m a single black female living alone! I need a lawyer ASAP."

"We got assigned this vendor through American Home Shield on June 7. Our AC unit was not holding 79 degrees in our upper floor. The tech came 5 days later and diagnosed a leak in the evaporator coil. They replaced it one week later ($3.5k). The following day, the unit was functioning worse than prior to the installation not holding 80 degrees in any of the floors. We called and came again 3 days later. One would expect they would come earlier as it was a follow up. They told us they need it to re-adjust the temperature of the compressor, apparently (they told us) this is common after coil replacement (why this was not done first? no idea!). One day after the visit, the unit still cannot hold 80 degrees in both floors. It is obvious the tech has no idea of what he is doing. At this point I am not sure the initial diagnosis and replacement of the coil (with the consequent fees of adding new refrigerant, $1800 + hand labor+ modifications, all not covered by AHS) was correct. Extremely frustrated experience. I would not recommend this vendor."
